I am making LC Scale Kits & Accessories for mud!

I would prefer blue with black tires but am not picky. I have nothing no electronics no control just nothing. I would need some guidance on what to buy.

Yes sir! That's the most key part too as it is the most expensive and can vary so much. The one i plan on including is priced at $55 and is half the costs of all non printable parts.

All you do is take this little thing (top of photo) and swap it to the FJ40, then insert the pins into the right channels (forward, reverse etc). I will provide instructions for the swap/it takes 1 minute.

@The Jade Bean tagging because edit:

I have the teal looking green and the flourescent green in metallic, and i have chromakey (green screen) green in PLA + (Same as chassis photos earlier). I will show you some pictures after more parts come out. We are super close to a quality i am happy with!
So do I need to take that from my current RC? I don’t mind sharing the remote, but I don’t wanna take parts off my other RC. What do I need to buy to not do that? Thanks!

That would be a controller, which comes with the receiver part to mount to the Truck as well as the hand held controller. $55 is what the guy quoted me, and there are many options out there; we can make any work as long as they are RC Radio Controllers.

@The Jade Bean I will look into reprogramming, so you can use one controller for both vehicles. Which means youll only need a new receiver.

I would prefer the carbon fiber chassis, blue body, gray rims, any color shock and black tires. I also have no RC equipment. Thanks again for all of your hard work!

My pleasure boss, and much appreciated to you guys as well.

It should be noted that i am going cheap parts because it's all i can afford at the moment.

But, this is what i really want for Mud:

But, at these prices:

I won't make the call for you, but for those who think it is worth the difference in price ($10 shipped per shock instead of $2). They are rebuildable so should last much longer, much like the real Kings.

For the Old Man Emu crowds who cannot afford Kings but also don't want Walmart brand, here are some middle ground options:

Internal Spring option:

What do you think mud, should we do cheap option and let everyone order their own if they want upgrade, or should we pool our money together and go for a group discount for the 1st choice? (The "KINGS").

My gut tells me that when building a LC and for Mud, it’s better to ask for help than to cheap out. KINGS replica amirite?

I’d rather start cheap personally to get it going and build as it progresses.

When do you think you’ll be ready to ship out parts to start building?

First batch will go out Friday: gives me a chance to try the front wheelwells again.

I have some already made, but I’m trying a new slicer software and curious if I can try again at improving quality 1 last time before it goes out.

I got $100 from someone, not sure who. Will put it towards order tomorrow for the belts, shocks, motor and etc. that helps a lot, thank you!

Sent some money a few mins ago.

I sent a Venmo last night. CS Mck /Hiluxforever@gmail.com

Thanks boss!

And Mud, you are the boss on this one; we will start low and work our way up.

The Chassis and some of the Front body i am shipping off tomorrow are parts that will be compatible with the 45; we will go straight to 45 for the 45 folks and skip the 40 to 45 conversion. I went ahead and ordered the 45 Model/files just now.

I adjusted my order from that one seller accordingly to include 45 fasteners for everyone, as well as 5 sets of fasteners for both the Soft and Hard Top 40s.

So far for $30 per kit, we have covered: belts, motor, shocks, bearings, tires, fasteners and cable connectors. This is with ~10-day shipping included and to me; I will bundle it to you guys along with printed parts.

With the remaining $70, i will get the other missing components; shocks, ESC, and Radio/Receiver (controller). I have gotten in contact with Surpass Hobby, and they will work on options for me/a group discount. I will update when i have info/try to get us the best that i can with what we have.

For shocks, we are going with these babies for $4 per pair shipped! Comes in 9 colors (waiting on list tomorrow). They are adjustable and at that price, I can send you guys a backup set!

@Hiluxforever this might be a good match for your Metallic Flourescent Green!

Also, mud.

I have enough “parts that didn’t make the cut”, but do not deserve the bin either. yeah… I have a lot.

I’m thinking to save on ship costs in long term, I will bundle the “Weekend Warrior” kit in with the “1st Owner” kit.

So you guys will be able to have some fun without worrying about scratching that new paint job!

I imagine basher kit will be a Frankenstein kit, and we will just call it the Rainbow-Colored edition. It will just be a surprise when it comes to colors and even material types.

When I get home Monday I`ll get with you and send some money your way.

Thanks boss. I honestly didn't expect for everyone to actually jump in a offer help, that's really awesome and means a lot/much appreciated; just figured I'd throw it out there that I could use a little help. Looks like the ready to run model will be ready sooner for us than I thought!

I will start putting out 45 parts next week for you guys, after I get this week's shipment sorted out/get a little more comfortable with the new software.

I guess a good question now is, does anyone want something other than a 45 for their first vehicle?

And does everyone prefer Carbon fiber chassis?

When you say "Black" wheels, are we talking metallic black, flat black, matte black, or carbon fiber?

Also remember that this Kit focuses on DETAILS, which means each set of wheels usually has multiple components and each one can be printed in a different color.

So you can say like "Black Wheel, Silver Rim, Red Inserts."

This is a community designed model by the way, and is available as an option. 75 screws just to put the 5 rims together lol!

Edit: I came here to ask for everyone's address (DM to me) for shipment tomorrow, then got excited about the wheels and forgot.

Ahh! I didn't peek email but i figured that was you! Check the shocks color i just shared, and thanks boss! Going to look at Radio Controller options for us over today and tomorrow!
That shock color will be perfect.

I appreciate the options, but I don’t want it to be to confusing for you as you’re learning. That said, black carbon fiber wheels for every piece is fine for me. Keep it simple at first. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SharpeCat i can’t send you a message as you’ve reached your limit. Get a silver support star through mud and you can message more.

Yeah i just noticed that too, done and done boss; thank you!

All CF is solid choice for wheels.

Out of everything i've printed, both the Carbon Fiber PETG anf CF PLA are my favorites. When you get a clean print it just looks amazing, and it's actually very easy to print!

@Hiluxforever @mrboatman @CruiserTrash

Need them addresses, minus cruiser I am taking my time with yours but tagged you anyways :).

@The Jade Bean @Michael B

So I am sorting through parts to pick out to mail off tomorrow, and running 1 more batch of whatever part I feel is most needed to go tomorrow.

I decided to send everyone both a green chassis for bashing, and a carbon fiber one for your display. These are both 40 chassis, and I will mail next week the conversion chassis parts to 45. The 45 chassis conversion parts will also be carbon fiber to match your current 40 (maybe PETG this time).

As far as the rest, I’m just going to send you guys parts and we will call all of it basher parts for now. I have a lot to sort through and make sure I am sending off the right parts, and then worry about labeling quality after.

Long night ahead!
