Not very powerful because you are drilling into plastic. You will want to avoid hand tightening; 500 fasteners per kit and barely any nuts/washers, all screws. You want to use this to get most of the way as mine isnt that powerful, then hand tighten home stretch.

You can also use your power drill, set to lowest torque. Even then slow down near the end and hand tighten the home stretch. This is my preferred way when doing multiple kits, but i have stripped a few parts during the learning process with the full-size drill. If you end up stripping a part, it's okay; just go up a little in thread size or go longer screw with M2/M3 nut on other end.

There is the option of having me assemble both for you as well. The option to build your own is for those who love to tinker; and for you guys I recommend PETG or PLA+ only for now, as they are much more forgiving and do not snap or crack nearly as early when drilled into/upon impact. Just feed me coffee and ill be more than happy to assemble extra kits :D.
I have a couple of 12v drills. My Bosch has a pretty decent clutch that can adjust down for sensitive applications.
And since i only budgeted for 1 set of electronics, if you want your extra kits to also be fully ready to run and want to take advantage of the current group discount, you have 2 options:

1. Share controller and battery between your 2 kits: Add $50 for motor, Receiver, ESC, Tires, Shocks, Fasteners, Bearings.
2. If you want every kit to have their own battery and controllers: $100 per kit. This includes ~10 day ship from china.

And i accept personal donations in the form of coffee and things that help this project; like filament and machines!
I sent an additional $150 so I could have 2 full electronic sets for 2 vehicles and one set of spares.

Thanks boss! Much appreciated. I am waiting on money from Venmo and for a couple people who said they wanted to donate to the cause <3, and then this is the order i am putting in. The rest is Controllers, ESC and Servos.

Here is what i'm queing up tonight:

Carbon Fiber PETG Chassis Parts for the 45.

And more Metallic PLA Body parts.

Doubling up on machines per tester means we are doubling down on the # of colors. I am sending 6 out of 12 printers to CF PETG Chassis Duty for the 45.

So the colors we are keeping:

Metallic Red Copper
Metallic Flourescent Green
Metallic Sky Blue (i think @The Jade Bean , @mrboatman and @Michael B all wanted blue?)

1 more color gets to live to see another print, which one will it be!?

Metallic:
Bronze
Gold
Yellow
Red
Black
Violet
White
Silver
Orange

I’m gonna stick with the basics for now. I just dropped over $3k on a/c and power steering for my LC and I need to be able to live with my wife so I gotta slow down a tad. Lol. I’m sure I'll upgrade more as things progress.

I would vote yellow.

Quick question; is the rear wheelwell supposed to be black or exterior color? I've seen photos of both.

Screws are here!

Grabbing my coffee then assembly time!

Also another batch made it. This is the silk colors still in the que.

Also I received another $150 from hilux and $100 from Bryson, thanks boys!

Also, front wheelwells being black is correct? Or do we want exterior color there too?

Consider it done boss.

Today’s’ schedule:

I am breaking things into 3 separate livestreams.

1. Silk batch, and maintenance/prep for carbon fiber petg chassis, wheel wells and etc for the 45. This stream is live now and will end shortly.

2. Carbon fiber petg batch; we are going big nozzles (1mm, up from .4) and using walls twice as thick for stronger parts.

3. After I get the boys running and working in the background, I will begin reassembling every kit and replace everything with the proper length screws; I’ve been using m3x12 or 8s, where 10s go, depending on the part. I will strip everything down and start over.

You guys are welcome to stop by to get a sneak peek and to check my progress; I will likely be too busy to pay attention to chat.

I am going to get smokes and another coffee then knocking out a few screws before bed.

After first kit is done I plan on playing roulette with the rest of the parts; I’ll have a box for each body part and it’s up to the gods to decide what color, quality, and material I blindly pick out of it. I’m pretty sure this is how abstract art works.

Engine bulkhead, black or exterior color?

Also last update for the night (8:30 am); I am usually a night owl, see ya in the afternoon!

Also, I am putting in fasteners order later today, and that will take about 10 days to ship from China. I’ll do what I can with fasteners I do have, but I am heavily short on m3x10s and also need a few m2x12s.

Black

Ill cancel this print after the small parts are done then, if black bulkhead. I’ll also edit build plate so it isn’t automatically grouped/same color as hinges and dashboard. It’s what 3Dsets arranged/they prefer exterior color bulkhead.

Don’t worry, I did print black bulkheads; some metallic some carbon fiber.

Also, the great news is this is actually the most difficult part to print; for the entire project. This is due to all the small intricate parts and tight turns/sharp corners. We got there; only lost a few hinges along the way.

I’ll repurpose the colored bulkheads into the wacky weekend warrior builds.

Boat Cats door is almost done as well! Also I got $200 from you for 2 sets of non printable parts.

I am awake, will start again after my afternoon breakfast.

Plan for today and moving forward: all 12 machines is going into wrapping up 40s, then all 12 will move on to work on 45s. This will get us to our first completed unit faster.

Todays prints will prioritize missing body parts.

My living room is about to look like a mud meet after these next couple weeks.

I’m also contemplating trying a carbon fiber hood on 1 or two or them; whichever color compliments the black best. Maybe red and yellow?

Before I go queing up doubles of each color, let’s double triple check again.

Please send me, in a DM, same one you used for address;

Your preferred 40 color options: interior exterior and requests for specific parts in specific colors.

Shocks color.

Rims color.

I just need a place where I can easily check your personal preferences, and DMs are easier to reference than digging through this thread.

Thanks boys and see you soon!

Something to look forward to after first build phase:

Also I realized I never shared the soft top option; base kit comes without top and you can see the roll cages and interior.

While I’m at it may as well remind everyone of what the other two “tops” look like. #Augustgoals

Today’s bill = $700. I have received a total of $650 <3.

$200 from Boat Cat
$100 from Jade Cat
$250 from Hilux Cat
$100 from Bryson Cat

I list to thank the Cats who are helping me along, not to ask for money. This is basically my Financial Supporters list that will get added to front page later. Remember, I had originally planned on figuring out a way to do this without cost to you guys. Our beta tester family grew since my original plans, and I appreciate the assistance in helping me keep up.

That takes care of everything for 12 kits but:

RC controller and receiver, ESC (electronic speed controller for motor), Steering Servos and Lipo batteries. I will work on that this week.

Does this look right?

@CruiserTrash Hey boss, hope all is well! Did you ever send me your color preferences?

To keep things simple just pick your 1st pick, and ill work with what i have/try my best.

2nd pick would be helpful as well. We are talking for the display kit. Basher kit we will get to after.

Had a long night of mostly maintenance so no build updates.

Going to bed and leaving this live feed on the stream.
