Going through a corner too fast, with a vehicle that oversteers, would result in the back leading the front, which most drivers would find impossible to recover from. With understeer, the vehicle plows ahead, so at least the drivers gets to see what they are about to hit!

People that cant get out of that situation should not be on the road! :D

Thats IT!!!!! Its settled, I am going to remove both sway bars, install a TRD supercharger and rip wheelies punching it around every corner i come to! :D :D :D

Ok, i am over tired and lacking humor, oh wait, that was funny!

Goodnight Guys! :D

 :bounce2: :bounce: I here a lot of guys having problems with things hitting or clearance issues... Whats up... I'm running J's L's 1.5 spacers up front and rear... no issues ....????? Is this the rigs or The parts, Whats up !....

Just curious how you're dealing with castor correction; plates, bushings?? Or do you have the slee front control arms .. or perhaps a ton of weight up front (bumper/winch/dual battery?)

TY

I"m curious too, I'm looking to run the J's up front and heavies in the rear..I assume with my FJ80 I'll need the sway bar drops or just take em off. :D

How much did all those parts cost?

http://www.sleeoffroad.com - prices are online there

Care to elaborate on both statements please? :)

Never had a problem with any contact anywhere under any condition until I simultaneously had these three items installed.

Front J springs.
1" spacer
Caster correction plates.

Then I had very bad driveshaft-swaybar contact.

My first statement was that, in my experience, you should be fine with the heavy lift with no other little bits to purchase or make. (swaybar drops, etc)

I am not sure as of yet. I got the bushings with the kit, but i might just got straight to the plates. I am still thinking about this one.

Anyone running the 850 with a 1" Spacer with only the bushings? The ARB Bumper is on its way and i will eventually have a dual battery as well.

Thoughts?

I'm running that exact setup on my '94 - if I did it over again I'd go with the plates. The bushings are a PITA and may or may not correct enough (seems to be slight differences between rigs). However, I don't have any sway bar issues and really like look of this setup. You'll be happy IMO ... but think about the plates/bushings because you'll have to buy and reinstall Toyota bushings if you decide to go with the plates later ...

Boston:

I am running OME 850's up front with a stock bumper. I have the Mr. G's from Summit on my garage shelf waiting for install. I also have the bushings too waiting for me to take the front control arms off and take it over to NAPA to get put in.

That said, I drove about 1500 miles right after the install of the lift--all highway.

I have tons of clanky metal sounds of things hitting or rubbing against each other and I have some pretty serious driveline vibrations/oscillations.

My assumption without having gotten underneath it is that my rig did not like the lift and that the lift accentuated possible u-joint/drive shaft wear I might have already had. Reading over many previous postings--and especially Ken's going on right now: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=50778 --I have a feeling that I will have to do some work on the driveline as well.

I do have the swaybar drops coming on Tuesday and I intend to do much of the work next week.

I am hoping that adding the drops and putting the OME bushings in will alleviate some of the sounds and wear. Maybe not. I just hope that when I am done, I will indeed feel like Tucker about my rig.

We need to see some pics dude...

best.
