So my daily bread are campervan conversions. Cabinetry, solar systems, electronics, water systems etc are what I do. I like rugged rigs but personally I like when the interior is neat, looks good and is more cozy than bare metal, plastic and a rubber mat.

Below is my prototype of cargo area drawers. Bamboo finish, marine hardware, lots of time spent to make this happen. I will keep designing and adding upgrades like a refrigerator tray, different heights of drawers, a platform in the front.

What do you think? Would you want this or you'd rather place a pallet on four milk crates?

I still like 5 or six totes to pull out and set up camp. But subscribed to see where this goes :)

Nice, I do like the marine look to it. Since you are asking for opinions.... the bamboo top is nice but anything you put on it will slide back, forth and side to side. Putting any non-slip mat over it would kill the looks. Tie down rails would be helpful but nobody wants to tie down every little item.

Most people stuff their drawers.... or at least I do. Objects will catch on that lip above the drawers. I have wings like those and I wish the wings were split in two (front to back). Having to clear the entire side just to flip the sides is a hassle. Usually just accessing the rearward half would allow me to access most of the contents in that side area. Maybe make it so the forward handle pulls up both (forward/rear) wings but the rearward handle only pulls up the rearward wing.

That's beautiful work. I love the bamboo look, too. The fit and finish is superb. Personally, I'd like to have a fridge slide and some tie downs. But that would change it quite a bit, and make it more fussy looking. If you just want drawers and a deck, this is perfect. Very well executed.

Looks great! Good choice in deck height IMO.

hoser's comments about the side access are good ones. My side access is also all or nothing, so need to clear the whole side area to open up.
