Good luck bud.....I'll be in Alaska.

Yawl have fun, I'll hopefully see it at the Crawl:D

Well, once the top comes off I have to gut the interior, prep (line) it, then get it ready for the cage.

I dunno if it will be up to fighting speed until the fall.

Why does everybody insist on doing stuff when I have to work?

Have fun!!!

Dan,

Food for thought with your project ...
Be on the look out for a Disco in your area that has had the top saw'd off and replaced with a soft top. I was at a party at Mike's house (the friend of mine with the shop that we used when we put the lift in your old 60) and the Disco's owner brought it to the party. He lives less than 5 miles from Mike so it has to be the same general area as you. Regardless, he had custom full interior cage built and then a one-off soft top fab'ed to fit the truck & cage. The soft top was not done locally, but it could still be a source of ideas for you and an example to take pictures of.

Good luck and please post pictures in addition to youtube.

I know exactly where he lives...the airport he lives by is less than a mile from me.

No. David Porter has several hangars at Air Acres that he keeps his Rovers at, but he is not the owner of the Disco that I saw on the 4th. David's Rover collection is extensive and maybe it has grown to include a soft-top Disco, but I have not heard of it before. Therefore, keep an eye out for a green soft-top'd Disco that you may not have seen before.
