Confused.

160k is awful low to blow up a 1HZ. One week is awful fast to rebuild it.

Ad says triple locked, no such thing in a 70-series.

Ad says auto to manual conversion but pic shows the auto.

Cheers

Yes. in the process of getting rebuilt. Estimated 3 more weeks.

If you know anything about 1HZs not that uncommon for a 1HZ to fail prematurely due to bad turbo instal/tuning.

Triple locked, manual hub locking as well as front and rear differential

If I know anything about 1HZs?

Ya, don’t turbo them! 😂👍

Auto hubs doesn’t mean “triple locked”.

It’s getting rebuilt specifically to run the turbo. Was going to do the 1HDT swap but decided to go this route.

Also, what do you mean? I’ve always heard manual locking hubs as well as front and rear differential as “triple locked”
if you’re going to criticize someone post please explain with some logic.

Diff locks and hub locks are a very different thing.

A quick mud search will bring up this info:

Diff Locks are in the axle center sections (aka differentials.)

Hub Locks are at the outer ends of the axle tubes (usually only on the front axle.)

Lock-out Hubs connect or disconnect the wheels from the axle assembly, while a Diff Lock keeps both axle shafts in an axle assembly turning together.

Yes. OTM Cruiser is doing a full rebuild on this Land Cruiser. If you read the listing “Rebuilt at 165k)
"If you read the listing Rebuilt at 165k"

I did read the listing and it states "Rebuilt FOR turbo at 160k" Implying that it only got work done to better support the turbo addition. When in actuality it is being rebuilt post turbo at 168k due to complete engine failure. VERY misleading and untruthful. Then trying to palm it off to someone for the staggering number of $48k?

Best not to try and pull the wool over peoples eyes on a forum like Mud. Any potential buyer tread VERY carefully on this one.

LOL. whats your goal here, bro? I am sure you have nothing better to do than shoot people down with a key board. Feel free to message me on FB since you got mine.
Not misleading at all. I am very transparent with the vehicle. If i was trying to hide any issues with the vheilce i would’ve never posted on a public platform like FB. Also, ask anyone on the Group lol.
"rebuilt" normally implies that there was an event that resulted in the engine being taken out and "restored/rebuilt".
Trust me, I know what a $12k 1HZ engine rebuild puts the value at.
Feel free to check out the links of the other 70 series with "rebuilt" 1HZs. If you knew anything about the Land Cruiser market, yet alone the import market you know that My asking price is pretty far.
Rebuilt specifically to run a turbo safely. Which would make it closer to a 1HDT than a 1HZ technically LOL.

Ok.

Many 1HZ powered Cruisers have been turboed, especially in Australia.

50/50 results from what I have seen over the years with turboing one. Has to do with a lot of things such as; cooling system, intercooler and EGTs, how much boost it pushes, ect-all.

Non turboed Cruiser diesels are indirect injection and factory turboed Cruisers are direct injection. Big difference and an indirect injection diesel has pre combustion chambers. They tend to get hot and easily warp heads or blow head gaskets not to mention cracking the precups. So those of us in the know don’t turbo them. If you asked my shop to turbo your 1HZ, I would either refuse or make you sign a waiver before any work was performed.

Not wanting to toot my own horn but felt you questioned my knowledge at least slightly. We are probably the #1 shop in the USA for doing 1HDFT and 1HDFTE swaps having built nearby a dozen now both from long blocks and from scratch and also rebuilds. Nearly every one is running 30psi, +30 fuel and much more. So I kind of know a thing or two about all this.

Bummer your 1HZ blew up but if not built correctly and after, if not driven strictly by EGTs and all that, it’s a ticking time bomb. Direct injection will always be best on a turbo engine.

Cheers
