Hi all.
We recently purchased a very well used, and neglected 75 series ute. I knew it need some serious love, but as it always goes during a build, we certainly got a few surprises along the way. Saying that, it was purchased at the right price with the intent of putting some life back into the old girl and keeping it on the road.
We are using the ute so doing the build in stages. Engine got a good look over with the usual checks and replacement items, and a fresh cooling system with the replacement of new well... everything...
Gearbox, transfer and diffs got a rebuild, along with fresh bearings, steering, brakes and well... everything else...
Anyway, still lots to do, but we are enjoying the progress. Certainly something different than working a 60 or 80... I do enjoy working on these things.
Lots more to go but its at a good stage to be able to use and put some miles on it to iron out any mechanical bugs... but so far, so good.
Fresh cab is next but will wait till after the summer to get stuck into that.
Cheers.
Eric.
