As part of fully restoring my Toyota Diesel, I am replacing the diesel fuel lines. After 35 years the old ones start to show corrosion. I am only undertaking this action because all pieces are into "atoms". I already bought the stainless steel hydraulic pipes (Ø8mm forward and Ø6mm return) to ensure that I will never have rust problems again. At each end each pipe is connected to a rubber tube - at one end to the tank and the other end to the fuel filter. Where the rubber tube slips onto the pipe I have a flare very similar to the one shown in my primary post.
In the forward tube there will be a bit of vacuum because the mechanical pump is sucking fuel from the tank and on the return there is a bit of pressure.
I would just like to make the pipes as OEM as possible

@bikemaniac that's not a flare....it's a bead. Fuel lines, cooling lines and vacuum lines use a tube beading tool. There are different ones for different style beads. However, the ridge behind the bead that stops the hose from going to far, that's done on a machine. Using tubing beader or bead roller in google may make it easier. It took me a while to figure out that I wasn't using the proper terminology in my searches.

The tool Golgo13 posted will also do the bead. It is an excellent tool from first hand experience.
@JeepinPete I wasn't saying @Golgo13 's suggestion wouldn't work. I was just pointing out to @bikemaniac that searching for tube beader may yield quicker results as the type of line being replicated uses a bead and not an actual flare.
Hey guys, i just googled "hydraulic flare types" and found a tool.
Flare or bead doesnt matter. Since you're starting fresh, use whatever fittings you want, just make sure they are capable to keep a good seal with diesel fuel. No need to get too fancy

the Toyota type flare looks like a 2 step process i have never been able to find the exact tool for something like this in a similar fashionHi,

the inner bead looks like a push-to-connect style and acts as a rubber hose stopper common for fuel lines and transmission cooler lines
