Reports sound promising for house so far. How many here are displaced and trying to get back to the coast? We are actively searching maps and updates looking for the first shot to make it back into wilmington.

Hope everything is ok when you are able to return. I know my issues are nothing compared to what a lot of people will be facing. :(

Tad made up this map That may help.

It's going to take me longer to clean up the mess I made inside over 4 days than it will the mess the storm left outside. And I'm in NO way complaining about that. Best wishes to everybody else.

I just got off the phone with one of our managers in Wilmington. According to him there is no way in or out of Wilmington by land. Power is spotty. Stores are empty. Fights in the stores that had anything. Police everywhere. Stay safe.

I’m in the same boat. I have been “organizing” around the house. Mostly made more mess than anything. I did jam about 50 mags with loose ammo I had laying around. Been wanting to do that for a while.

Wife’s parents on oak island have power but no water / sewer. Flooding widespread from the rains. They kept power the entire storm. Mother in law fell down their front porch steps videoing the storm on iPad...caught herself with her face.

Parents in southport no power water or sewer. No house damage. They are in Laurinburg with my gmaw with no power water or sewer and no clue when they will be able to go home.

Brother in law in boiling springs lost power Thursday and now has no water / sewer. HW87 is washed out from the big lake damn breach. They are also isolated to their house due to flooded roads.

One of the Brunswick power plants discharge canals bridge is closed from washout damage to the substructure...still standing though...but the next bridge a couple hundred yards down the road is washed out so it’s a twofer.

We lost power here in Durham yesterday (large tree down in Ridge Rd) and then got 10” of rain last night plus a couple doplar indicated twisters this AM. I was out threw out the night dealing with a river in our backyard that’s was threatening to turn our pool into a pond. 15/501 is closed due to flooding now near Marc Jacobson Toyota and a decent amount of secondary roads in our area of Durham are impassable due to flooding.

Also heard that Snowden jewelry in ILM was looted and a buddy who was gone from his house in the Ogden area for like 36 hours came back to it being burglarized. There are some horrible people in this world, Jesus.

^^ Wow!! No damage I've found yet in south durham/morrisville. Lots of water in the creeks, but nothing like that!

Same here but not so damn many. Did some long overdue clean/lube, too. Four LC's in my yard is a good first step deterrent but posts like Jon's above is a good reminder to stay vigilant and prepared. So thankful that the storm treated my house like only a couple of regular rainy days.

as some of you may have seen Kenny and Lydia have some tree damage. Waiting on their INS guy to make their assessment and will let us know what is needed. "bog ass" tree in his words down on the garage side of their house. When the time comes if cutting is needed the ONSC disaster relief team will call to action.

Looters are one of the lowest forms of life out there. Right up there with someone that steals a man's tools. When I lived in the Keys it was pretty much understood that looters would be shot on sight. There was no looting I heard about.

Charity and Rob had to evacuate their neighborhood as it flooded out, still haven't heard if it got their house or not.

Fortunately or unfortunately The road closures are preventing me from getting back to work.

Wish I could do some volunteer work. I got an enclosed trailer and my f250. Would like to get with a group that is in need of moving food or any other disaster relief items.
Anybody know of any?

Let me know if any of you in the Charlotte area need a hand this week with cleanup. I’m making my schedule really flexible but I’ll need to stay in Meck or Union county. No, @lt1fire and @custyota , not because of any probation restrictions :flipoff2:.
