I had a chance to get after some nagging coolant weaping that I have had on the BJ for the past few months. The problem appeared to be in the heater hoses and control valve all located along the firewall. Consequently, access was going to be a PITA for a non-NBA player such as me. So when I got started on the project in the morning, I tried something different. I dropped the truck to work on it. After getting her positioned on the lift, I pulled all four wheels and dropped her to the floor.
It did seem to provide better access to the hoses and connections along the firewall. But I felt foolish the entire time with such thoughts;
I expect there is a longer string of humorous jabs this one could generate and it is good to laugh at oneself, so what did I miss? These visuals may add some gas to the fire.
