My LJ70 doesn't have PS and is a lot easier to turn than a 40 series. There's quite less weight on the front axle, but the difference is really amazing.

People who havent got it always say they dont need it,until they get one with it

actually I have a complete setup ready to bolt on in the shop but I don't actually feel any need to bolt it on Apart from city parking, which I hardly ever do, it would be quite useless for my strongarms
My 40 series BJs are a totally different story though.

Will be very useful here in the Egyptian Sahara !!
I drive a carbd 3F and it has about 400,000 KM and still standard... although thinking to overhaul the engine these days. So, if it has only 8,000 KM...there is still a lot to take from this engine! By the way if u think about swaping the engine I'd be really interested in buying 3F....

Wayne, if the paint is only faded, and not all scratched up, the paint could just need a good power polish. As you prolly know, red is notorious for oxidizing badly. Hell, if you just rub it with your finger, the chalky stuff will come off leaving the red visible. It makes an old truck look

I spent several hundred $ on a good polisher when I was fixing the bad paint job I did on Ratpuke's BJ73. Let me know when the fire engine gets here and we'll have it gleaming in no time.

No advice on what to do with it after that though.

Does it have a water tank on it? I think it'd be cool as hell to wheel a fire truck. It certainly would be easy to hose the mud off after a run

I really like these campers. You can have a simple deck and use the camper as required. Leave it in camp for some more challenging wheeling. and have a nice clean camper to come back to.

Im hoping to put a deposit on one like this . There is only 2 guys making them here so you have to book them about 6 months in advance.
$13k plus $800 for the annex and $400 for the legs if you want them. Its all welded alloy and done so well you cannot see the welds when painted. Also has underneath storage on the other side too.
