Just found these. Everytime I look at them the more I like. Opinions are welcome. Please.

they look pretty close to stock OEM which then prompts the question: if you go there, why not just stay with the factory wheels and save some $$?

if you're going to spend your hard earned greenies, go for something cool but not stock looking....

It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks to me like they have way too much offset.

Old school mags..I like 'um!

I don't know who makes them but they are 15X8.5 with 3.5 backspacing. I am thinking these will give a bit more off-set but not too wide without having to run spacers.

I like the looks of the stock wheel but not wide enough for my tastes.

BTW if anyone needs a good stock spare chrome wheel for thier rig let me know I have a complete extra set.

They would look kinda like this (circa 1989):
08160.webp

Those would look totally sweet after you send them out to have beadlock rings installed. They would be slightly wider as well. But at 8" wide they already will fit a 12.5" wide tire perfectly.

Nice look on a Cruiser either way.

The backset is good., especially if you are going to go SOA in the future. I belive that that is the offset that lowtideride runs.

Thanks for the input guys. I don't wheel hard. I don't have the funds to fix broken stuff every weekend. Hopefully this will be a dedicated weekend trail/ camp/ hunt rig in a few years but untill then it's will be a DD. I like the thought of being able to re-use parts I am buying now when I really dig into and upgrade as I go.

The wheels are one of those items I will probably go over budget on as I have never had a set of aftermarket aluminum wheels on any of my vehicles. And hey it's father's day right!

Again thank you for the input.

Clint

Just paint them black and they'll be perfect!

i love the old anson style mags. have a set waiting to go on one of my rigs now.

you will have to get the center machined out to fit the hubs though.

I love those wheels, there was a guy that had a set on a 1985 Toyota pickup in town. I told him if he ever wanted to sell them to let me know. Sadly he sold the truck without contacting me, I havent seen the truck or wheels since.

I had a set my 1964 GTO but decided to sell them because they were kind of stupid sized. 14X6 up front and 15X8.5 rear with TOO shallow of a backspacing for me to run any good sized tire.

I am interested in the spare set of chromes you have for the truck. Pls
PM me how much you want. I am in Portland and can come and pic
them up from you. On a scale of 1 to 10 how clean are the rims like
rust and road rash wise? thx

You know what, its a project car, but I really need to get some pics posted on chat.

Those rims are awesome! Old school mags! My dad had a set of those on his Bronco in the 70's. I always wanted some rims like those, but could not find them.

- They do not look like stock at all.
- Please dont paint them black or go with any black rims for that matter.
- You might want to check on what they are made out of I know that some of the old rims were made out of some type of magnesium and it was rather weak after getting weathered.
- The BS and width sounds great. Thats exactly the size rims I run!

I have the dick cepek DC-1 on my rig. with 33 x 12.5 nitto terra's They are 15" rims and there was no problem with any rubbing or needing to grind anything. I also put the old man emu lift with shackle reversal from MAF on this rig. As soon as I get a good digital camera, I'll post some pics as well.
