I know what you mean. I really didn't expect it to be the actual mileage. I would have been happy with twice that. The Toyota mechanic working on it thought it was the best older jdm he'd seen. I'm lucky and know it.

My post was not sarcastique... I just want to mention my opinion.

Don't worry... I'm realy happy for you anyway :)

PS : Hey ! It's about a Montréal - Saskatoon - Montréal trip !!! ;)

The suzuki carry i just bought has 6,000 kms on it and it's a 1990 - and it is original. It's kind of crazy when you do that math:) Was owned by a farmer who just drove it on his property.

Regards

No, no. I did not read any sarcasm in your post. I read it as you were surprised by the mileage as much as I was. I did not think you were challenging it. Interpreting posts on the internet can be difficult because it's easy to misunderstand the poster or read soemthing in the post not intended.

Good luck on you jdm Cruiser. I'd like them all to be in as good shape as mine.

i am not posting this to brag but to show that low milage units can be found if you look hard enough...
cheers

that one sold 2 years ago for large money to a very strong cruiserhead. he owned his first 81 BJ42 from new and wanted me to rebuild it with 400,000 km from the ground up but he got this one for thousands less than what it was going to cost him to rebuild old "Rusty"...which he is still driving to this day as his winter beater.

that unit in the link had a stone chip the size of a rubber on a 2H pencil on the windsheild frame as the ONLY damage inside or out. a very rare find indeed. (it even had the original tires and rims on it) he bought it at 27,*** km and i think he still has under 30,000 km on it...

Not really hard to belive. I do less than 2000km a year on my LC here. It is 16 years old and has 80,000 km on it.

Roll backs are not unknown here. You can see on the original certification what the odometer was on the previous year inspection. This number is not shown on the Export document. I sugest that if you are importing yourself you request a certified copy of the original documents. But that still only tells you about the past year.

Oh, and just for you guys that have ways of telling how it is done the guys here take the odometer apart and put it back together witht he wheels spun a bit. No force required.

When I grew up I hope I can bou one .. but not for DD just for weelends .. and I plan to keep it in a sealed garage .. for much really much time.

me, i would love a cherry rig like that but it would look like ol smokey in just a few months... it would be a waste on me...

ummm, because i have a pair of big dogs that ride with me and i abuse my own trucks
i.e.
if i need to squeeze it between a couple trees to make it further along the trail i will...

for me a show truck is really nice for someone else. i admire them but could never own one...

the only time i really wanted to keep a pretty truck for myself i took it to lunch with my wife and firend during lunch i was so stressed that someone would key it or open a door into it which ruined my lunch... after that i realised they are not for me...
