I am an admitted newbie.
I want to use IH8MUD to find my next LC.
I am having a hard time figuring out how to do an efficient search that avoids 97% results that I dont want. (NOT a FJ 40, or a BMW, and I'm not interested in a right hand drive diesel, etc):crybaby:
Is there some way to search for a ---- 93 through 97 LC with lockers? Without bumping into 50+ pages of other stuff?:bang:
I LOVE this site, truly I do. I have learned lots and lots of good stuff. Just need to find a way to do an efficient search for what I am trying to buy.
If I am being a dumb-butt, and the answer is right in front of me, call me on it. I can take it. That blasted advanced search page just isnt giving me the goods! Some button I'm missing?
ALSO, how do I FIND THIS thread after I hit send again?
If there are any angels out there willing to PM me with a short and simple lesson, I'm game.
I just had my wisdom teeth yanked out of my skull, with complications, so I'm on more drugs right now than Jim Morrison. Forgive me if I seem a little ,,,,..,., off....

Also, I need to do a o2 sensor replacement soon on my (wifes):princess: 93 LC, bone stock. How much better mileage will I get? I'm in Northern Arizona (No Smog Check) and have the option to dump the catalytic converter all together. Good Idea? Better mileage and power?
AND, (i'm on a roll) I need a good mechanic for the thing. I just recently lost my ninja mech to some great high tech contract he got, and I just don't have the skills to do anything more basic than a oil change myself.:wrench: Sedona, Cottonwood, Verde Valley, etc....
There,
I'm done.
Love to you and all your stories and rigs that someday I will be able to partake in too,
Till then, its still workin 60+ hrs a week to keep the roof up...

go to the classifieds section and search for fzj80. If the poster did things correctly that should show you all trucks 93+ if you want only lockers then add lockers to the search. That is the way to do it. It all depends on if there are any on here right now and if the seller put all of the proper information in the posting.

goodluck

THanks you guys (gals possibly). I do use the Craigslist search utility and love it!
I guess you are right about putting fzj80 in the search field, problem is, and you can test it yourself, about half of the rigs dont show up cuz the poster didnt put that in! its 80 series, or f-80 series, or just the year, 1994, 94. Yadda, yadda.
you are right, all I can do is all I can do.
Thanks for the feedback.
you guys rock, roll over them, through the wet ones, in between the big ones and rarely, if ever go around the really big ones, like mountians..
Stay safe.
I'll try the search tonight.

Just be vigilant in watching the classifieds vehicle section, since there are no categories, it is cumbersome to try to find all the recent threads for a FZJ80, but if you spend a few minutes each day you can scroll through the days posts and see if there is anything of interest.

To fins threads which you started or posted in, you can go to the "Quick Links" drop down link (near the top of any ih8mud page), then click on the "Subscribed Thread" link. This will show the threads you started or posted in, as well as any you have subscribed to. To subscribe to a thread (without posting in it), you can open the thread to view it, then at the top of the thread there is a drop down link that says "Thread Tools", open it and there is an option to subscribe.

the classified section here on Ih8mud.com has some great trucks for sale, however when i was looking i soon found out that if you search the first 3-4 pages of the vehicle for sale section you'll pretty much have exhausted threads that are still open and for trucks that are for sale. on the off chance that some slipped past that 3-4 pages you can search further, but typically a motivated seller will bump their sell threads long before they ever make it to the 3rd or 4th page. if someone lets it linger past that they may be asking quite a bit and may not really be interested in selling their truck.

Ben!
You rock!
Thanks, that is exactly the kind of tidbits of neato I need to make my mud expierience all super fly!.
Thanks all for the tips, I am learning more in the last 24 hours than I have in the last 2 months!
You all rock.
