I want to know how my top fj-45 , stay with my wyndshild.I buy a top for a fj-45 , i have some kind of clip but my windshild came from a fj-40 so the size is good but the retaining clip don't fit.(cauz the fj-40 don't have anything except the 2 bolts on each side ) Do you have picture of your hard top with your windshild attach ,i will make them look like it supose to be . Thenk you . a french men from Quebec.

A lille question about my truck .
I have a question do i need to shape the box like the original ,.or just live like this . I have alredy cut the box in half (front to back ) caz it was to larg i take off 1 1/2``. The side look a bit too round what do you think !@!

My big project
This is my project i take a Toyota stout for the box .A fj-40 crowl and i had 3` to the frame. All the rest came from Aqualu, except the top, came from John he is in this forum but i don't remember his last name .He is somewhere in oregon. On the picture the Aqualu door,hood side pannel,fender,front .Are not there ,i went to kelona B.C. Canada to take all the stuff. My house to Kelona is about 5000km. I was in a trip across Canada , Valleyfield (Quebec) to Tofino (B.C.) I had alerady the tub from Aqualu .More photo to come . all the part is in the paint shop. And i'm doing a realy i mean Realy big frame off. In Quebec they put salt to melt the ice in the streat, so all our rig are rusted .And we don't have a lot of Cruiser parts.Sorry for the poor english i only speak French So........

I had a similar question when I got mine, I had the roof and the right windshield, but was missing the hooks. Someone was kind enough to send this photo to me.... It should show you the way it goes (assuming yours is an old one; I am not sure the 70s versions attached the same way)

I dont have a closup of this part on the windshield, as I am in the middle of restoration, but can dig it out of a box and get a shot of it (will try to do that tonight for you).

The bed is a little round for my taste, but I ama firm believer in the "it is your truck; do what makes you happy" rule.
My truck is in so many peices, and built out of so many parts (was the body of a 45, on the frame of a LV, with a fj40 as a donor)... dont have a picture worth posting yet. Hopefully soon, I am finishing hte frame and axles phase, and hope to install teh engine and move on to the body phase int he next month or so. Maybe photos then.
By the way, I am using an old style long bed, but choping it down to short bed length (I just like the looks of the old-school long bed better.

This is the real one, your bed is like this one ,but i don't know if Robb cut it .I don't think that kind of box was stuck (i mean original.)

Mine will even end up red like that. That is an amazing looking truck; mine wont be that spectacular by any means.
But yes, I have the old style bed (I am attempting to insert before photo) and a photoshopped version of what I hoep to cut it down to. I hav eto take some off in front of hte wheel and some behind. That should work out nice though in keeping good looking proportions.

Yes, the blue one is mine. It is only blue to the front of hte cab, then the front section is off of a yellow 1965, and the doors off of another truck.
Here are some photos that should show the whole hook thing pretty well. The one that is disassembled shows how you take it apart to attach it to the roof panel, that pin slides out so the loop part can go through the roof, then it gets put back in.
