His has the tire wire present in the videos. Mine has that tire wire present. Keeps the little set screw that locates that shift arm casting on the shift rod from backing out. It is pointed, and the rod is drilled out for it.

What do you mean about the alternator and starter? Did it short them both out?
Copy. I assumed (likely incorrectly) it was a reference to this wire wrapped around the bolt….

Gonna be a great additionI drove the donor back from Denver to LA on Tuesday. It’s a 1990 JDM HZJ73. I was surprised at the compression:
1: 515 psi
2: 520
3: 540
4: 490
5: 500
6: 500
This engine must have been rebuilt. 584k km on clock. No blow by.
Here’s one more hauling the big bike. I get a lot of flat tires on the motorcycle… thankfully easy enough to cart it home with the Ram.
