How to make the 2025 LC/GX better than the 2024 model

Think most agree about this guy’s beyond annoying ramblings but here he goes off on the 550’s interior quality, on which he’s not wrong.

Lord that was a painful 23 mins to say something that could have taken 3 minutes. He is generally correct however.

With Chevron overturned, get CAFE insanity struck down in court so toyota can go back to putting simple V8's and V6's that they've perfected into new products.
Patassa, better hope that Kackling Kamala loses in November or the Chevron SCOTUS reversal will be ignored or bypassed by executive order, the unconstitutionality of it all be damned.

I don't disagree.

In my world, the overturning of Chevron will result in more, not less, nonsensical and impracticable regulations. Agencies will be required to basically regurgitate the text of laws which are written by congressional staffers and what are also not ever read by those that vote on them.

I know that's not the case for all agencies and all laws, but to think that Congress can write effective regulations is laughable.

The biggest problem I have right now is the stupid warning message that pops up in the instrument cluster for any setting that overrides other settings.

For example, I have the rear backup brake assist (whatever it's called) turned off when I have my bike rack on the back, and the warning that that switch is selected stays on 100% of the time and blocks everything else that appears in that spot.
Can you edit the warning notifications using an automotive scan tool, perhaps turn off the chimes (at least this is what I'm hoping)

This wiki page seems to be worth a read if you're at all interested in this complexity and moving target of CAFE regulations:

Late to this party, but it would be great if they added aux switches like the Tacoma and 4Runner are getting.

More flexibility with options. I don't want a sunroof, but I do want the larger touchscreen. No cool-box unless they create some other storage within driver reach. I could go either way with most of the other amenities.
Unfortunately with Toyota being supply constrained across many product lines increased flexibility in configuration is unlikely to happen.

The coolbox first appeared in the 80 series in the 1990s, so it's been a dumb idea that they like for decades.

Improvements for 2025 and that I would hope would (and should) roll into 2024 via OTA S/W update.

Add actual equalization and subwoofer control to the Mark Levinson sound and fix the crappy sound, bad equalization and lousy and entirely missing rear low-frequency sound contribution.

Modify the vehicle notification system to not flash error/call dealer on the center screen when it run lows on windshield fluid. How about just putting ‘refill windshield fluid’ on center screen or just leave minor notification on the front display.

Raise the camera auto turn-off threshold from 8mph to 15mph or even 20mph.

Raise the Traffic Jam assist limit from 25mph to 35mph or even 45mph.

Update the seat control exit assist to include lowering the seat as well.

Release some kind of an aero mod to make the roof rack quiet (ok, this isn’t S/W).

Lexus - You can mail me the check for helping your product planning.

Follow-up comment, I did contact Lexus Brand Engagement (1.800.255.3987) to specifically provide them negative feedback on the poor sound quality of the Mark Levinson stereo and on the constant cargo rack noise above 45mph. Having gone through a buy-back on our 2023 RX500h I found the Brand Engagement to be effective and helpful in getting resolution rolling with the right people. Hopefully others who are unhappy with something on your GX contact them with specific feedback as well. A sample of 1 won’t make a difference, but consistent negative feedback will eventually get noticed and, maybe, could lead to a dealer-installable improvement.
