I think very few people ever treat their leather seats. And most first owners of luxury brands lease them. I doubt any lessees care at all what happens to the leather after it goes back to the OEM.
The worst part of the LC200 interiors are the...
I don't have any stats to back this up, but I am a bit worried about the leather seats on the higher end LC's in longevity over the softex that can be found in the 4Runner and lower LC trims. I've seen some 200's with some beat up seats.
There are also folks out there who would simply rather have the Toyota badge over the Lexus. Typically I’m in that camp but this time around I just really like what they have going on with the new GX. It’s most likely what I will purchase next...
The LC 70 is heavy duty in that it has a higher payload and physical capacity and can achieve its performance and durability when utilized @ its design load.
In the case of a 2024 LC70 GXL Wagon with Automatic (using the Toyota Australia data)...
I'm in Anchorage. We basically didn't have a summer last year. Very coastal - I can watch the Belugas out my office window some days. :) We are going to move south at the end of this summer for a lot of reasons that would probably warrant a...
Its so simple...Toyota has the legacy names, the reputation, the storied history......the marketing writes itself:
1. 'new' FJ40 to compete with the bronco/wrangler.....FJ44 or something.....4 door only, thats most of the sales....SFA or IFS...
The new 4Runner looks pretty good, still too bad no natural aspirated V6 as an option.
Clearly bringing out the LC250 Prado as a Land Cruiser is a big mistake/scam. Disgrace to the Land Cruiser name IMO. I would be ashamed buying one and...
I thought the 5th gen was ugly and still do. The 6th is even worse. I'm a 3rd/4th gen fan myself, I'm not crazy about the design language Toyota has adopted for the NA market, hence part of the reason why I'm in a 100.
The LX is a strange product. Functionally - it's a highlander with less useful interior and worse highway manners. It serves no purpose as it is sold in the USA to me other than conspicuous consumption. Technically somewhere under that 7 inches...
My very crude re-proportioning that would look 100% better to me:
If Toyota had all the content and price of the 4Runner in the LC250 body - it would be a homerun.
Thats cool man and im not trying to discount that need at all. Im just saying that they are not offering an entire segment of folks with anything and instead offering folks like yourself like 7 different flavors of the same thing more or less...
To me, the 250 came in with good intentions (which it was supposed to be planned with similar specs to the GX), then along the design path, Toyota got word that the EPA was having more and more ridiculous mandates to meet, and they were so far...
This is just like my opinion. I really love Land cruisers and what not. Feel free to disagree or hate it.
Ok with the release of the new 4runner yesterday i finally figured out why i dislike the LC250 so much.
The LC250 and new 4runner are on...
I have no idea about pricing, but Car and Driver has the TACOMA Trailhunter at $57k (EST) and TRD Pro at $65k (EST). That seems high for a Tacoma but reasonable for a 4Runner. If that is the case I would take a 4Runner Trailhunter over a 1958...
A few thoughts about the 4Runner. (not a fan of the looks)
Interior looks nicer in materials and finish, less good in layout. Loses pass through. Less leg room despite longer wheelbase. Cargo area looks better than LC250 in models without...
