How to make the 2025 LC/GX better than the 2024 model (1 Viewer)

Since we are halfway through 2024, the 2025 models can't been too far away. Let's tell Toyota/Lexus how we'd like the new models to be in the hopes they actually listen and deliver.

1.) 3.4TT engine with a hybrid option
2.) Put in 3rd row overhead vents in the GX for pups that ride back there.
3.) Put some respectable tires on these vehicles from the factory

About 6 weeks in with my OT+ I would say add second row air vents on the roof for OT models. Second give me reason to trust this engine ffs. Aside from that it's been great. I love the ATIII tires in fact they are my go to on past vehicles. Excellent on road manners and excellent in snow.

I’ll play. Highly doubtful, this will be more of an a/m solution stateside. More fuel capacity, 18 gallons on the LC is flat out ridiculous.

Better rear bumper plastic surrounding trailer hitch--the current design is retarded
Hood flutter

The biggest problem I have right now is the stupid warning message that pops up in the instrument cluster for any setting that overrides other settings.

For example, I have the rear backup brake assist (whatever it's called) turned off when I have my bike rack on the back, and the warning that that switch is selected stays on 100% of the time and blocks everything else that appears in that spot.

GX approach angle is horrible but probably good enough for how and where most will drive it. It's still a shame to see.

Hard to say having spent no time actually driving either of them but from my brief interactions not having at least a rear zone climate control stack in the 550 OT/OT+ is a big miss. And yes, they need to throw in the overhead vents. The fact that these things are standard on the other trims and even the Toyota model gets them is a big miss IMO.

Bigger fuel tanks on both. More interior/exterior color combos is always nice. I think having the option for either version of headlight should be a thing on the 250. Fix the hood flutter on the 550.

Let us turn off the safety nannies and not be constantly reminded they are off. Oh and lose the paddle shifters on the 550, it's a BOF SUV, not a high performance sports car.

Exactly! According to Automotive News this week, they are due for a freshen in 2028 and I wouldn’t imagine 2025 will bring one change and wouldn’t expect anything too significant till then.

I understood early on the round headlights could be added, curious if so, if that becomes an accessory at some point?

Everyone knows that ALL Land Cruisers since 1958 have always been equipped as new with a size or two too small of tire, it’s part of the heritage, but I do wonder if the Land Cruiser needs them for a MPG target during testing which obligates Toyota to equip them that way?

Great point, may also explain how the Lexus GX OT can have a bit better tire standard ( than at a minimum the 1958 ) is because the Lexus is masked by additional insulation, harmonics etc.

They also made a special tire with about 1/2 the standard tread depth of that Nitto you can buy.
