Is that the 8" one? Is it close enough to the driver to make a decent armrest? I was thinking about relocating my ebrake and doing the 10" console to get it closer and hopefully make a decent arm rest, but your setup looks pretty decent.
Armrest function is why I installed it. It's perfect even with the cupholders in place. I kept them because they are the easiest way to hide the hole that is visible when the stock console is removed.

It is the 10in version. Ebrake doesn't need relocation.

Also, it can't be moved forward any further than I have it. It is butted up against a 1" tall ridge in the floorboard. You can set it on top, but then it is kinda high/odd looking and the feet in the rear will be 1" above the floor. You could extend the feet with a spacer sandwiched between the console body and the bolt on feet

My interpretation of the Tuffy Box mod. I think I did this about 5 or 6 years ago...I mounted the cupholders behind the parking brake to utilize the dead space. It also provides additional clearance for the rear seats -- when we want to run our sleeper set up.

Awesome! I thought it looked wider than what most people were using, but I didn't think a 10" would clear the ebrake.

Here's another mounting idea. Instead of putting the cup holders down low where it pushes the console back ( and interferes with the middle row of seats ) pop the cup holder up and over the shifter console by just a small amount. It ends up looking really nice and is super functional. Plus you now have extra space behind the cup holders for cell phones, wallets, pistols, etc....

Fellas, I'm curious about the 012 vs 013. I don't have a radio to stick into a 013 but that space can be utilized pretty well. The 012 is a very large cavity and I'm not sure if I'd like that or not. The radio slot in the 013 is deep so I wasn't sure if it can be used as a storage and not get annoyed at looking for things at the bottom of the narrow slot. I'd like to hear from the fellas who is using the 013 but w/o a radio in the radio slot.

I like that a lot. You still have the brake in the stock location too? Any trouble getting into 4low?

I've got the narrow box. Seems like the 10" one would make the E-brake a very tight fit without relocation.

I also located the box specifically for elbow support. My rght shoulder is shot and I really need this on long trips. My box is raised up, moved forward, I added padding to the radio lid, and my cupholders are located at the rear of the box. There is still room for the second row seats to fold - barely. See the link to my install earlier in this thread for extensive pics if you need to relocate from the stock position.

Actually, you don't cut into the shift console. It's simply got a hole there that needs filled once the OEM console is removed. I used an old piece of mudflap, cut and riveted in place. No detectable heat increase in my experience.
I had to widen mine to take the cup holder. No option for me.

It's the 13 that has the radio slot...

Do you have any detailed photos of how you mount this ?

Do you have you have one yet? If so, take your stock console out and start playing around with placement. There really isn’t much to it at all. Figure out how you are going to do the 1” spacer and the rest is cake.

Funny this thread pops up after I get back from a 500 mile road trip where all i could think about is how nice it would be to have this! I need to do this before my next road trip.

I installed the 8" version in my 80 in the stock location, with the cupholders in the back. I didn't like how the cupholders looked in the front cut into the center shifting plastic portion. I just use wing nuts and can get the cupholder mount off in like 20 seconds.

The more places to lock stuff up the better.
