I have dropped 2 of those wire clips into my doors. Is there a trick or special tools to install the locks through those tiny access panels. drivers door and the fold down rear hatch?

Is there a special tool or do you know of an elf with tiny strong hands?

That was one of those jobs that I hope I don't have to repeat. On the front door, as I recall I was able to go through the access panel hole and manipulate the retainer onto the lock using a pair of needle nose pliers. But it took multiple attempts, layers of skin, and lots of cussing. On the rear lift, it seems the access panel provides adequate room.

Hire a kid. You can epoxy the clip to a narrow scrap piece of aluminum sheet metal. Bend the metal so clip is held up in the right place. Use a stiff curved rod to push the clip into engagement. Heat the aluminum with a propane torch and it will release from the clip.
