October 1973.Year of the cruiser? That catch on the B pillar is adjustable. Picture of the catch and striker on the door would help. The style that ended 1/75 is prone to wear on both sections. That limits the amount of adjustment if well worn.

Here are pics of the B-Pillar and Striker. Let me know your thoughts and if there is anything else that you can think of.How does the catch on the B pillar and striker on the door look? Both those parts wear especially on a fifty year out vehicle.
Holy cow, i thought that groove was supposed to be there!You might want to replace the door striker or you could repair it to close the gap some more.
