Hi all,
Apologies if this is not the correct area for this thread or has been covered before - a cursory search suggested nobody is as stupid as me
In rushing to fuel up and get somewhere else, I’ve gone and dropped a small plastic cap off a fuel additive bottle (Morey’s fuel conditioner) into my 75 series troopy sub tank by accident. Everywhere I’ve rang around say they need to take off the entire sub tank to get it out. The tank is empty (I add Morey’s prior to adding fuel), and I know there’s a drain plug at the bottom of the tank.
Im wondering if with a bit of wire or something to leverage through the drain hole if I could ease the sucker out - My question is, as I’ve not been through the process of draining the sub tank before is there anything that needs to be considered? Or should I just cop the mechanics fees and have the tank dropped properly?
Many thanks in advance!
