I am going to give this a bump.
I would like to know if I have helped anyone out.
I would like to know if you have enjoyed the stories.
I would like to know if you would like me to keep posting up, build, runs. stuff like that.

Yep, Yep, Yep and Yep. I struck value in the front square driveline bit. I am fully aware but had never ran across pictures before and feel more confident now.

The reason I added the extra yep was because of your car falling story. I have had a few close calls myself! I simply dont care..... Until I had a :bounce: (3 year old son) and now I double jack, place the tires under it, hook my hoist etc. to make sure no close calls ever happen to him as a result of my actions!!!! I like to think that by reading your story I will continue to be crazy in regards to my sons safety where as I may have bled off eventually resulting in something I am not even willing to type.

Sorry I am not on here that often but I'm happy to answer whatever you need. Andre

you always had way to much to say..... lol..

glad the car story has helped you out. almost deleted the post. then thought,,, no,,, this happened, now, god forbid. the fall would be 3 feet or so vs the 8 inches the car fell.

it only takes an instant and every thing would be gone.

just think about it.... you would,, could... buy,, replace your truck 50 times over for the price of a hospital stay..

you could replace your truck 20 times over for the price of burying your butt. and the loss of income to your loved ones..

then there is who will be caring for your kids if you are gone.!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

as I have gotten older I see how fragile life really is. I am an aging intensive care nurse.

I dont care what any man says, That's a Nice Ride ( is my girly side showing ) :meh::flipoff2:

lol.. going through old posts... do you mean the truck or the wife?

guess what every one.. we are expecting our first child.
she is 8 weeks. never thought that this would be my mid life crissis....

Congrats! Now we expect you burn two cabs together and make a 4door 2nd gen solid axle rockcrawler with baby safety added in.:p

I think a 4 door 4 runner would be easier.
would sure like one of those 4 door trucks from over sea's

the reason that I see to stay with the 85 is that it is 25 years old.
so when the lift laws, modification laws hit here we can register them as antques. hopefully exempt from the laws

Don't you love our meddlesome governments out there protecting us from ourselves?
I just don't know how I could possibly survive if I didn't have Uncle Sam holding my hand every step of the way.
Anyway, rant-mode off. Congrats on the Father-to-be status!
How long after your kid's born are you gonna wait before taking him or her wheeling?:D

Thanks for these posts. Great advice and ideas. We have 4 kiddos and my second oldest girl was ooking at the laptop and saw your wife's truck. She loved the pink, then saw the butterflies. Great job and good luck with the little one, I would not trade them for the world!

well lets see updates.

we are only a month away from baby.
bought a 4 door jeep and have it up for sale before we have even wheeled it.
It just is that I have alot of toyota parts. Jeeps are built very different. I need to replace the alt,, it is at the bottom of the motor, behind alot of crap....

I am really glad that my car falling story in creased your safty awareness. That was totally traped and no help around. Like I said, I can still close my eyes and smell the blood and under coating of the car.... 1970 road runner. sounds old now, but back then it was not that old of a car.

all pros springs are not al cans. she is down to maybe 2 inches on the spings and mine are VERY close to the same after 6 or so years.
alcan all the way if you just want to buy once.

wow, how time is passing so fast. I did these mods a long time ago.... now my truck and hers, needs a refreshing of seals, bushings.... been like 4 years now.!!!!

missouriman! I'm glad to hear from you! I'm even more glad things are alright!

I hope the process of getting to be only 1 month away from your child's birth was smooth.

As to the heep alternator bit, I don't know why the auto companies are doing that these days, I've seen that on a number of cars, sometimes it's even under the AC compressor, so, unless you have a pit, the only way to get the thing out is to open up the A/C circuit. Madness!

For the first time in a long time, I just read an entire thread. How did I miss this one? Urghh

WOW. Missouriman (and your girl) great great build......

Post #5 - Pink Painties - totally off the wall
Post #8 - Dropped truck - I had a trapped hand under a car, now have the heaviest wooden blocks + 5 tonne jack stands money can buy
Post #20 - the :princess: has half a lung removed, good grief, you had that stress, and then
Post #47 - 8 weeks pregnant
Post #53 - a month to seeing the baby - oh my!

Your hard wheeling girl is tough as Toyota.

I hope your newborn is a girl so she can paint your next truck PINK.

Best of luck to you both - and of course the little one.

CONGRATS

Keep priorities in mind when you bring him home that first time:
- Truck
- Crib
- Formula
- Diapers

The bare essentials for childhood!

thanks every one.
I am now dealing with the stress of getting all this together.
day care
time off
helping the wife.
to many projects to wrap up all at the same time.
I don't even know what to start on.

thank you very much for your positive comments and support.

I am 48 years old. for the first time in my life I feel out of control and scared.

I was the end of my family or clan untill this happened.

I am tired. way tired. so many things that I never thought about. I will be 65 at graduation... I am scared for him and us.

the world seems to really be headed to I don't know what. I am sure that my parents felt the same way.

now japan, the 2012 things, just don't know.
seems to be building up.

Don't worry man, you've got the right approach going on in your projects:
one step at a time. As long as one foot's in front of the other, you'll always get somewhere.
Good luck!

That might just be the funniest thing I have ever read!

Missouriman I feel your pain. I consider myself thick skinned and well a bit of a jerk yet I have never been so scared in my life as when I was having a child. I had so many unanswered questions as to how I was going to ensure I protected him. He turns 4 in less than a week now.... It feels like yesterday that although I was 26 I was in your shoes. All I can say is I had to kick him off of youtube tonight and send him to bed with his mom so I could get on here and use the computer..... He can sit in front of the computer and watch mud trucks for hours before he builds his imagination enough that he has to go outside and splash in a mudpuddle or dig every mudtruck in the toy box out! Each night is the best night of my life....... I wish you the same ;) BUT if he didnt like mudtrucks I would not have built my toyota and I may be spending my time on a tap dancing forum :meh:
