Had to go through entire thread to see that the PO, who is also on MUD, didn't already post it.

It's a late 1975 production that's titled 1976. And yes, I know the front bib and turn signals are from an older FJ40, but that's the way I bought it. I have the newer turn signals, just need to get them installed. Not sure what I'm going to do with the parking lights in the bib.

PO had good taste, I love those lights and the front bib so much better than the late model stuff........

Great looking rig! Just leave the bib lights. Who cares? Pretty sure the 'Cruiser police aren't going to make you remove 'em.

If you don't mind my asking, what wheels are those, and what backspacing are you running?

They are ProComp Series 1028, 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing. I run w/o spacers and I have about 1/4" of space between the wheel and the tie rod end. ProComp has apparently discontinued the 15" and 16" versions of this wheel, but some suppliers still have them and I got a really good price on them because of that. It was/is also available in all Black and Black with the fake bead lock rim polished.

Mine: 1969 used to be DD, now more of a wheeler/camping truck with trips to the store when I feel like driving it.

508 (soon to be wife's dad's): 1969 smurf. Used to be there "family car" until a few years ago. Now I think he drives it around the block once every other month and I have to convince him weekly not to sell it or if he does sell it to me. :(

1976 That has been in the family since new, but recently resurrected after sitting in a garage for 12 years.
