I was driving home from the airport yesterday and i was looking at the speedo with a max reading of 160 and I thought to myself, while this is a great truck, has anyone ever seen close to 160 mph or even north of 120. Let's hear it.

I saw 75 the other day, while passing a slow truck...

I'm with tonyp around 110 with plenty of pedal left. I was running with a F-250.

Yeah same here, uno uno cero. Only backed off cause I recall a Max mph on the tires somewhere around there and didn't want to shred one at that speed.

You all saw the fastest SUV recently? Highly modified LC hit 230mph.

I've been up to 110, smooooth as butta...

This what I was going for!

Aren't they limited to 112? I've had pretty consistent experience with 112 being the top end on Toyota 4WDs (double checked with GPS). That said I've never maxed a 200 and checked it with GPS.

Drove a pals stock 570 and the speedo seemed to be at 112 when I hit the limiter, could have been 110 though.

Perhaps it have something to do with S rated tires being standard on many light SUVs?

My daughter brought ours up to about 100 on the salt flats fully loaded!

That's a random number. Unless the Toyota engineers were fans of 90s R&B.

I've heard the 112 number also, maybe it's limited to 180 Km's?!?!

An electronically limited top speed is generally correlated to the OEM tire fitment and its speed rating.

112 would make sense for tire speed rating of S. 118 for T speed rating.

I haven't looked up the stock tire fitment speed ratings.

Just noticed this in the title. Quite freudian.

I was typing early in the AM w/o the benefit of coffee. Can't change the thread titles but it is ironical.

Stock tires on a LC200 are P285/60R18 116V - that's a Speed Rating of 149 mph / 240 kph.

HTH
