9 - 10 ( max ) psi ..

Page EM-35 of the FSM states that turbocharging pressure should be between 6.0-8.0 psi, or 41-55 kPa.

Having said that, before I shimmed my wastegate, my max pressure was only 5.5 psi. Now it's making 9 psi, which has added a considerable amount of power and very noticable decrease in black smoke at hard acceleration.

So it means that is safe shimmed my wastegate in my stock 1HD-T . ?

David: Gbusch has a BJ74, which of course is a 13B-T...which was what I was referring to. I don't know about your 1HD-T.

David,
you should be running 14 psi already in the HDT so unless you really need more power then just leave it alone...
KISS principal...
cheers
