An excel file that is backed up is this cpa’s bread and butter for things if this nature. I track our family vehicles maintenance, home hvac maintenance, and other similars. Easzy peazy.

Old school, I just write everything down on the top flap of a Wix oil filter box. Dates, mileage, work done, (timing belt, birfs, plugs/wires, etc.).
Simple stack to reference when needed.

I have a 50- page build thread here where I document issues, repairs, the logic behind whatever I've done, and the mileage at which all work has been done. I also keep a manilla envelope for hard copy receipts. I do the same for all of my cars.
