Do you think I could get away with cutting it out of a tire inner tube?
how do i stop spare tire carrier from rattling?

I got a rubber ax pad, not sure what they are really called(but it goes over ax handle, found at ACE), placed it between the tire and carrier, not a single rattle in 13 years, pad stays in place by itself. Looks almost stock.
I have all new OEM bushings but could not get the pins out and didn't want to destroy the original paint.
