How do I seal this steering box?

Before I put my engine in, I want to seal my steering box but not sure what it entails. This is a stock 67 so I'm not sure what I'm in for when removing these covers.

Is it going to fall apart or is it straight forward?
Also, what do I use for a lubricant?

Coolerman has a write-up on rebuilding this vintage of steering box. Search on member "Coolerman", within any of his postings, click on the link "my website", choose the page "steering: steering box rebuild" and it shows the details of the box.

You may want to start a conversation with Coolerman to ask if replacing the gasket under that sector shaft cover plate might solve the leaking problem, or just open up a bigger can of worms.

Leaking may be the least of its problems. Either rebuild it or pump it full of grease until you can rebuild it.
