Hello all,

I am thinking about sponsoring a yearly run for 7x cruisers (no offense to everyone else) not sure where to have it maybe move around every year.

Anyone up for an event like this????

Cheers,

Michael

We can piggy back on the FJ45 Run that orangefj45 does each year. It will be held on the Labor Day holiday, Sept 3rd-5th this year. Mild dirt trails, good camping and completely stocker compatible. Two 7x series showed up last year, but we're hoping for a few more this year.

pismojim's Surf N Turf also had a good turn out of 7x series too.

The 55 run might be offended by the "piggy back" concept :)

It really makes more sence to meet at River Shiver though. After all, 70's have the best rear heater of all the models and are much better sealed to the elements than, say, 40 series. It would be a homecoming of sorts for many rigs as well.

as much as i like the idea of the River Shiver i think all the other model owners will be a bit upset being excluded from the now famous event.
i would suggeest an october date, is there any events that month?
cheers
BTW, since most of hte 70 series are owned in Canada how about the first annual being somewhere up here, say near Kenora Ontario? i have never wheeled around there...
cheers again

nope, the event needs to be held in either Europe or Australia :flipoff2:

I like the idea....naturally I think we should do "70's on the Con"....Hmmm....it's like an hour from my house, that's pretty convenient.

I'd be in for sure, what about something around Idaho? That's about halfway between Western Canada and Western states where AFAIK most of the 70's (that get wheeled) reside.

theres gotta be somewhere...theres mountians isn't there? Is there any mountains in Ontario Wayne???? Hmmm???

not mountains persay but some pretty rocky terrain...
i agree, probably Idaho or Montana would be good central location...
what says TLCRUISERMAN?

Moab or the Con would be cool. there is alot of stuff in ut near price and emery which isn't as far south as moab. Weather is perfect in that area around oct. I'd love to see and all stinker run of 7x's. I'd be partial to the rubicon since I've never done it.

speaking of moab any of you all making 2005?

something where we won't bash the crap out of the trucks, there might be a few divorces if we bring back busted up trucks...
;^)

It would be my first gathering, so I'm not going to hazard a guess as to what terrain would be prefered, but the word "shiver" doesn't sound like much fun to my soft west-coast bones. I like the thought of the Cascades in September, or Glacier Ntl. Park (trout fishing?), maybe south into the deserts of Idaho/Nevada for some pseudo-Baja stuff?

Just let her drive wayne... ;)
she can drive better than me... but the rubicon has a nasty rep for damage...

i am in as long as the trail is fairly easy, after all i don't have a wheeling 70 anymore...
