I have some old photo's of my old 1974 FJ55 that is now owned by Calico Kid. They are pretty big files... can someone host them here for me?

use www.photobucket.com to host your pics. you can reduce their size by right clicking on a pic in windows explore then selecting send to; mail recipient, then click okay when it askes to resize. once done you can cut and paste back or what ever from your mail program and upload them to photobucket.

here's one:

When I bought this pig it was nasty looking but at the same time one of the sweetest rigs I'd ever owned.

The original colors were blue with a white center. The seats were scrappy and the PO removed the bench seat and cut out the bench seat supports then welded in some crappy arsed buckets from an old audi or vw, etc...

The engine was over heating very bad infact it took us forever to drive it home. It would die often. I finally made it home a few short hours later. Work started with a complete tune up with new stuff and valve adjustment. Some of the valves were so tight I couldnt get a feeler between them and some actually had the valve still open a bit. After tune up and valve adjustment, new oil, gear lube, and coolant. She started right up and ran great. I later rebuilt the carb and then it was 14mpg. New mud tires and brakes came soon.
Not long after that I decided to repaint the pig... went to walmart (i think) and bought 50 bucks worth of krylon forrest green and ivory. Sanded and painted the whole truck on a weekend. (CalicoKid is the paint still holding up?)...
People though we had taken her to a shop... nope 50 dallor rattle can is all.
Then came other stuff.... buddy a mine was sellin an 1977 FJ55 for parts. I bought the whole truck and replaced the front bench and supports, replaced the rear seat, replaced the whole dash padding, used the axles from the 77 pig as well as the disc brake master cylinder and booster. Then converted to rear disc brakes and installed a toyota heavy duty industrial clutch kit.
Later came a 2F from an 1987 FJ60. Other stuff too... one of MAF's first production shackle reverse kits, add a leaf in the rear and 1.5" extended shackles.. when I sold the pig I sold it with the 3rd set of Yokohoma Gealandar AT's.... sold her to a guy in Utah... worked at the state pen.... when Calico Kid posted the first pics of his new FJ55... I knew it was The Beast (as she was known in our home)... glad to see it has a good home now.

I have more photo's.... just found more in another box we were sorting thru.
