Hood Blackout decal?

I put mine on today. I had a full decal but when it came time to squeege the front it was not going well. I had a weak blow dryer and it just wasn't doing the job. It was going to turn out badly so I cut the decal just before the hood bend and made it a 3/4 decal. It does look good but I wish I could have made it go all the way and have it look good (no creases). If I had it to do over then I would have a pro install it.

does anyone have a photo of a 3/4 legth black out?
or is the red one shown here 3/4?

thanks.

Could this be done in a clear vinyl, so the finish is still matte, but not black?

I'll check it out.

Cheers!
Mike

on my vinyl charts, its an Avery 900 series product. 10 yr outdoor durability. I usually stick to 3M products, but on the charts I have they dont list one.

Quick question for those who had these installed 2-3 years ago...how are they holding up to the elements? I definitely want to have an alternative to the slowly fading clear-coat, and mulling paint vs. vinyl.
