Honestly what would you value my 2000 LC w/195k miles?

Nice truck. Just my opinion but I wouldn't pay more than 12k. 2000 is probably the least desirable year, and it's got 200k on it. Getting it caught up on all the deferred maintenance is money you won't get back.

Why would 2000 be the least desirable year? And if you’re going to say transmission issues, that’s been proven to still be very insignificant. I agree with @DirtDawg. My 4 pinion diff, easily upgradable stereo, ATRAC with the ability to still slap lockers in, bottom of the value curve. Also 2000 was one of the largest production years, meaning there is no real premium you pay for them.

For OP of course, this isn’t ideal. I think you’re around 12-15k if you’re patient for the right buyer. Very clean truck man good work!

That’s a matter of opinion  2000 is the most desired year for myself. No nav, upgraded front diff, glass headlights, etc

I view it as least desirable due to the fact that it's the oldest year that has the upgraded diff, it's statistically more likely to blow the transmission, and it doesn't have the auto up windows like the 01 or 02 got. If I'm going that old, I would rather have a 98 or 99 with rear locker. And I used to own a 2000. Currently drive an 03. Still great trucks, I just wouldn't buy another 2000, based mostly on the transmission, if I'm honest. I look at it as why take the chance?

I view 02 non nav and 03-05 non nav trucks as the most desirable. Don't really care about the vvti motors in 06-07.

The transmission failures were a batch of bad overdrive internal parts that affected a very small percentage of transmissions for that model year. In addition to that, they were likely to fail at lower miles. So they have probably been mostly phased out by now. So not really a chance anymore, but I understand the concern.

Just for general info, it shouldn’t be a concern to anyone looking to buy a 2000 MY, especially with higher miles.

My 2000 LX has all auto windows :p

After reading all the posts, you should keep it. It is set up how YOU wanted it (you obviously cared about it). I have a 40 so I don't know your year very well, but it is in very nice shape. KEEP IT

$24k??? Yikes. Last week I added up all the services over the last 60k miles for my 2001 LX with 219k miles. They totaled over $9k, which I thought was pretty steep. :-)

Yeah I think that even if you had to pay to ship it you would forgo some pretty steep transaction costs of what you could realistically get for it before you had to leave and wouldn't have to absorb the loss on all of the work you put in it, which doesn't have much market value.

The more I think about it, the more I nailed the price at $10,500. Im a purist, so black fake beadlocks are no bueno. Id much prefer stock period correct 16's with fat BFG rubber. The exterior looks awesome, the ARB bumper is glorious, and you have new leather seat skins... not SH*ting on your truck, just giving you my .02.

Does the truck have stock NAV? if so, take another 1k off the value.

Curious why would the stock NAV take off $1K?

Because year 2000 NAV units are about as relevant as windows 94. Also, the hvac is integrated, making it double awful.

I forgot about the ac being integrated....I just read that recently(new to the forum & cruiser life). Personally, I don't even want a 2015 vehicle with NAV as it eventually becomes antiquated. Thanks for the reply and happy national taco day.

You should absolutely keep it. You're the only one that will fully appreciate/value everything that's been done to it. I also think it's worth noting some buyers seek out the '98-'02 models, despite some of the horror stories. I'd say your truck is poised to go 500k.

IMO 10.5k is definitely low, but this is a forum so that opinion is from someone who REALLY knows the market and wants a deal.

It looks clean and has reasonably low miles. For this crowd, the engine refresh money would have been better spent on a regear and lockers.

I'd probably ask 15.5k and settle for 2k less.

I did. I refused to buy anything with integrated hvac.

Atrac would be cool, but I didn't care as much about the 5 spd or VVTI.

I honestly don't get the hate on NAV 100s. I have two other vehicles with brand new tech and I never use it. I use my phone for everything media and info related. Install a BT45-TOY in 15 minutes, get a decent mount for your phone and you have everything you'll ever need.
