I was a little hesitant to do this project but I'm so glad I did. These things shift so much better than the factory stuff. Just about $20.00 for McMaster Carr and a little time on the mill. I copied AA stuff.

I am glad to see someone else do this too. Nice job! I have mine penciled out and will start fabbing in a few weeks. I'd love to see your parts list too!

Nice. How about more pics and dimensions? I'd like to do that to my FJ40.

Please school me on how these function.
What does the first shifter function
What is the second ones function
Does this application work on all TCs looking at the pictures that looks older and somewhat different than the ones I have in my 1980 and up LCs.

Lever 1 controls xfer case gear range selection. High range - Neutral - Low range.
Lever 2 engages/disengages front axle.

Shifter location

I've got a 1974 with a Four speed. When I put a 350 in I had to modify the tunnel cover because the stock shifter linkages did not clear. Would Twin sticks move the levers closer to the mid-line of the truck?

It's really pretty simple. Your current shifter moves forward and backwards to select 2WD-4WD, and left to right to select HI-LO range. The twin sticks just isolate those two things. One stick selects 2WD-4WD, and the other stick selects HI-LO range. The linkage for each selection is simpler, which is what makes them smoother and easier to select. You also can easily select 2WD-Lo range.

This particular setup in the pictures is for the older one piece transfer case, but you can put a twin stick setup on a later model split case T-case (like you've got). Georg sells them.
