My 2F has 217k and goes through roughly 1qt between every oil change. Entirely stock except for a removed smog pump. I get 12.75 mpg in the city as well!
249 and change here..............should hit 250,000 pretty soon...........
I'm the 2nd owner since 9/03 got it with 231,000 on it
Had the stock wheels & tires(size) when I got it
Found receipts for exhaust manifold and EGR valve replacement, I can only assume the clutch has been done 'cause it works perfectly
I've put:
New water pump
All hoses
Belts
Alternator
Tune up
2 smog pumps
rebuilt carb twice my self
Catalytic converter
Still runs strong, V8/H55F/transfer/62 axles coming soon

260k and running fine.
I tore mine down and rebuilt at 212,000. Turned out to be nothing that a valve job and carb rebuild wouldn't have solved. The crank, bearings, and cylinders were in excellent condition, like polished mirrors. The machinist thought I might have had 100,000 miles on it judging from his measurements.
Cam lobes and lifters were somewhat pitted, a couple push rods slightly bent.
Don't assume that just because it has high mileage it needs a rebuild.
Engines are low rpm, have a huge oil pan capacity. If oil is changed with some regularity internal engine components will last a long time!

have had no major engine work. just bolt on stuff and fixed vac problems. burns no oil. got 15 mpg on last tank, with full roof rack and tire up there!, and 12.5's. go figure. usually 13 mpg.

It was wearing 31's for who knows how long before I got, on 33's now. It's also spent several thousand miles without a speedo cable so...... I put it in the 255k range.
AFAIK only the head has been apart. 2x in quick succession - once by the PO and not too long after by me. Just valves and new HGs.

I'm upto 452,278 miles this morning . . .
Orig engine, tanny, xfer,,,,,
I am planning on pulling the head: either bad valves or bad head gasket....
so, head goes to shop ( 200 bucks to clean & do valves....)

260ku on my '88 FJ62 3FE - running like an absolute champ, and never been opened to my knowledge.
288+K on my 3FE.
Leaks oil, but doesn't burn any! (I know where the leak is, just too lazy to crawl under it and fix. It will be a Springtime project!)
Still running strong.
It's a Cruiser! I wouldn't expect any less!

306K and purrs like a kitten!
the old 88 Fj62 had 350,000 on it when it was totaled......but as we kept it for parts.....it still runs just fine, never had much done to it
the 90 Fj62 we have has 250K on it.....bought it from orignal owner, never touched.

Change the oil regularly, don't let it over heat & your engine is good for many many kilomiles
Oh, bought my truck in Maimi Fl, it's never been further north than 'almost' Jacksonville ( not quite 500 miles N of miami). A chit load of running around the southern 2/3rd of the state....it's my DD.
