High beam not working (1 Viewer)

If fuses are good, bulbs are good, wires are good, next up would be to check your light switch stalk. The highbeam indicator should light up even if your bulbs are bad. I'm betting it's the stalk

So, sad to report that I replaced the high beam fuses and that did not fix it. I’m not convinced it’s the bulbs because both don’t work.

i suck at electrical beside stereo so I’m going to take it To my cruiser guy. I found a working switcher for $30 and was thinking of proactively swapping it since it’s apparently a zero banana job but i can only see one screw in the bottom of my steering console and I read there’s three

Did you ever get this fixed?
My high beams are not turning on either but the DRL and fogs are working!

If there's no voltage on the high beam sockets/wires, I'd work backwards from there.
There should be continuity in the common ground wire to chassis when the stalk is pushed forward to light the high beams.
I do not. Remember if the hot wires to high beams always have battery voltage. I think they fit though.
If that is messed up, and the daytime running lights don't work.
I'd be thinking about the daytime running lights relay, the board mounted high beam relays, and the stalk.
You have to examine the wiring book pretty closely. It changed throughout the years, LX and LC regarding high/low/dtrl and the way the indicator works on the dash.
On 2003 LC. I will look and see if I have 2003 pictures.
In the wiring books at the end of a circuit diagram section they explain the written path and when/how the combo meter indicator lights.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to hijack the thread but my issue is slightly different than OP. My DRL work but the high beams don't. When I push the stalk forward, it turns off the fog lights, which leads me to believe that the high beam relay must be working.
Oh also, this happened right when my right side low beam stopped working! Could they be related?

Also worth mentioning, I have high beam wires split and connected to the low beam as well to drop the shield on the HID projectors to convert them to high beam as well!

When activating the high beams the fog lights are suppose to go out.

Probably more going on regarding one side low beam not working. Maybe hid relay related.

Update: checked all 4 fuses for right and left, hogh and low beam - all were fine. Took piy the HID bulb on the right side - looked fine. Confirmed that the relay clicks when I press the stalk forward.

Looks like the next step is to disconnect the low beam and see of it would restore high beams!

My relay clicks, everything that’s supposed to be happening is per your diagnosis except the lights going on. Probably my wiring related to rust.

Would both be out?

Did you ever try replacing the bulbs?
I am suspecting mine HID bulb on the right side might be out. Is there a way to test for the HID bulb or relay?

Just to close the loop on my issue: My right front HID bulb was out! I replaced it with a new Morimoto one and then found out the fuse for the lower right headlight was also busted. All of my lights started working as soon as I replaced the 10A fuse. So I guess even the high beams quite working when low beam fuse goes out!!

Where is that fuse?

^^^ Check for power at the lights and work your way back. Looks like OP solved his problem but this is always a good way to start diagnosis electrical issues.

Where is that fuse?
The main fuse box under the hood, really close to the battery on driver's side. There are 4 fuses:
Right High beam
Left High beam
Right Low beam
Left Low Beam

1999 L100. Not to further hijack the thread, or revive it I guess, but there was a lot of good ideas here…I have a Similar problem, went thru this thread and checked all fuses (ok). No blue light on dash, low beams on regardless of stalk position, including flash highs. Both bulbs nice expensive Sylvania LEDS about 1 year or so old. Looking for more ideas?
