I honestly don't know if this paint will wash off.

That's awesome - do they hire out?

I have no shame.
I'd go to CM dressed like this.

Got an interesting comment today while out on the road:
From a nice old lady to the girls: "Did you do that? Is this your dad? Well, he obviously loves you more than his truck."

Nice paint job, Juane!

I can honestly say that is the most unique paint job I have ever seen on a Cruiser. Probably any vehicle, come to think of it.

I loved the comment from the "nice old lady."

Evan,
You are the sweetest man I have ever met.
A prince!

I like how he used the word 'unique' to describe it.

Wow, won't have to hunt for your rig in the parking lot anymore. x2 on hiring out...

Kewl. Looks like you need some clear coat now...

OK,

You win.

This it the best we can do (for now).....:hillbilly:

Dan that looks like the Rubicon trail. is it?

Yup, Big Sluce.

I built that truck for her to run that trail with. She drove the whole thing and did a great job.

Dan -

Cool truck and it looks like it (and Sarah!) did fine on the Rubicon.

I enjoyed seeing it at Moab - just sorry I didn't get to run any trails with all of you there. Next year!

i was going to say Big Sluice too, but wasn't sure enough. see, i told you all an 80 could do Rubicon w/o much trouble!:flipoff2::D

very cool and good job Sara!

Damage report:

Front sway bar mount ripped off axle housing.

Bent tie-rod (Fixed by Rick Cortez on the trail by a truly amazing method of wacking it on a downed tree after taking it off the truck).

Sheared rear swaybar mounting bolts-to-frame.

(Note to 80 Series owners: Do remove the sway bars at the trailhead and toss them up on the rack).

Dents in both quarter panels where the 4X4 Labs bumper got pushed into the body (along with some body movement on the mounts magnifying the contact).

Slight dents in both rear doors about 1/2 way up.

And, lastly, it IS possible to bend the rockrail on a Metal Tech slider. Mark Hawley saw it in Rubicon Springs and told us that she was only the third person to have been able to master that feat.... He said he would weld a new rail on if I send the slider in to him. A very cool offer. We may leave it as a conversation piece.

Actually that is very minimalist. It could be a lot worse:
