Hello from Cape Cod!

We got our faulty equipment fixed and headed up the coast of Oregon in the latest episode. Next up we take a break from overlanding and fly to Massachusetts to visit family for a week. When we get back to Hermés we start heading north to Canada while we wait for borders to reopen in South America.

You can view the latest episode here. Please help us out and hit the +Subscribe button! Not long from now we will begin reviewing some of our equipment as we've been traveling for over a month now and we feel we are putting a good bit of wear and tear on it. At the top of that list are the Roof Nest Condor XL tent, Dissent Camp Kitchen, and National Luna 50L Fridge/Freezer. Thanks and happy travels!

Also, I wanted to mention that the build thread on the first post of this thread is now up to date!

How did you manage to sneak into the Canada? Are the borders open now?
Good luck with your travels
Hey there! The borders opened earlier this month. Crossing with unvaccinated children leaves a little bit to be desired but we managed. They are required to take a day 1 and day 8 test. We all had to have negative tests within 72 hours of entry which was very challenging.

Also, entering Canada with an overland vehicle full of stuff gets a little tricky. They want to be sure you’re not “moving in”. It took a lot of explaining and persuasion. So, so glad we did though!

Holy moly! We’ve made It up to the Yukon! Hermès is running like a champ. No issues whatsoever. This is turning out to be quite the adventure. We keep running into other LC owners along the way in Canada and we’ve even made some great friends! It’s a great reminder of what a good Community this is and how special Land cruisers are to us.

Check out the latest episode which dropped yesterday! We found some amazing camp sites as we were heading north off the island and took a 16hr ferry ride up the coast of BC. Really cool stuff! A couple of bonus pictures for ya to boot! Hit subscribe on YouTube for me, it will help others find the channel. Thanks for following along!

Have been following with interest here and on the youtube. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
Not sure if you covered this already, but do you have a back up cam? where is it placed?

We just dropped our best episode yet! Overlanding Baja! Hermés breaks down in a very remote Mexican village and locals come to the rescue. Turns out to be a dead fuel pump and somehow, magically was fixed over night. Including dropping the fuel tank, sourcing a part, and reinstalling everything. We've put on about 2,000 miles since the replacement part and everything seems to be working great.

If you watch one episode, this is the one! Link: Overlanding, Camping, Recovery in Baja ! // Overland Traveler [009] - https://bit.ly/3woZxwd

Let us know what you think!

Folks usually replace the fuel pump via the hatch under the 2nd row seat. Was that not an option this time?

Hey sorry I missed your question! Yes, we do have a camera wired up in the rear bumper. Had to drill a hole in our pretty dissent bumper, but it was definitely worth while. With all the stuff hanging off the back it’s difficult parallel parking when we are in towns.
