Hi - anybody have a fix for replacing the fuel tank pipes 77201-60350 (discontinued)? The small one that directs overflow is rusted out on my truck. The main pipe has some rust, too, but I think I might be able to salvage it by using Eastwood converter/encapsulant, or the POR stuff (which is better?). Is it OK to just plug up the overflow pipe - or can part of it be replaced with rubber fuel line? Thanks for any help!

Can you cut the rusted part out and add, a piece of rubber hose to complete the over flow line

Thanks for the replies! I read somewhere that in order to replace those lines you have to get the body off the frame - is that true? Is this a ridiculously difficult swap-out?
I really appreciate any help :)

The FSM just says if it's rotten, replace it!

@Red Merle can you confirm?

You can also pick up a used one.

Rust free used would be great, too, if anyone has one lying around somewhere :)

Here is my thread about my install. Let me know if you have any questions.

I think that may be the easiest solution. The larger pipe probaby can be fixed with POR because it’s not that bad-rusty in spots.
I think I gotta cut the overflow tube with a tube cutter to be safe from explosion. Does that sound right? Any other ideas how to cut it? I felt up towards the filler and it was smooth.
Thank you :)

Thank you! I wish there were a magic rust removal spray ! I’ll post when I figure out what to do. I’ve repaired head gasket and all the stuff that goes along. Purring like a kitten. Plus rear heater bypass, pesky heater hose. Stainless exhaust. Clearly I’ve been walking for months 🙋🏻

Yeah that is the safest way, and just use some quality fuel line, trying to do it the other way, is way to much, and you might not even get it in properly . Glad I could help
