Hi!
Its just going on and on..
How to reset the security system?

The detector is on and horn plus parking lights are on..

Wtf.. Its parked in my driveway
No windows broken,

What to do?

Thanks

Disconnect battery

Mine had two thin wires going to + and - terminals. I don't think any such wire goes to ground on our trucks so if you see one it's not stock and should be the alarm. Mine blares the horn if I lift the + so don't do that. Lift the ground.

Ok, i just disconnected the battery before i took your message.
I had already disconnected the horns. So i disconnected the positive post.
Let it sit for a minute or two and put it back on.
It worked. But i did not put back the window sensor (or whatever this is called, i did not find it in the owners manual, nor the wiring diagram, nothing here on mud as well, i tried a bunch of things, i must of missed the right name for it).

It's a toyota part for sure, it sits left to the rear heater switch in my 96.

I really wonder what caused this to switch on, the windows are frosted thats all.

Thanks for the reply anyway

Leaving the sensor unpluged, will it disable the whole system?
I dont care about a security system, i just want to make sure it never horns
Like this ever again :)

Something strange with the two little factory plugs for the sensor
They are both double thin wire but on one plug there is a third wire that is loose, simply cut straight out of the harness and there is nowhere it can go.

I will add a picture later

Just pull the Toyota alarm system.
It is simply a wiring harness that plugs into the factory wiring 6 or more plugs. You'll need to remove the lower dash under steering wheel and driver kick panel. The control module is under driver seat.
There are some threads on mud that have the wiring diagram.

Thanks, i'll look into this

I'm also in the middle of the 10a gauge blowing fuse troubleshooting, so my panels are all off or most of them :)
