Living in the Past would know. If you want to search, type his handle in the "By:Member". Then type different combinations of keywords he might have used like: "64 hard top" "Early top later" "64 later tub" "corrugated 70 tub"

You can go into advanced search, click on search threads, unselect all forums and select 40 series forum.

or wait til he's see's I've once again quoted one of his posts:beer:

High B pillar was gone by 64. No one came answer your will it fit my top with the only picture covering the front of the cage. Test fitting your best bet. The 64 hard top was higher then a 68. Your also going to add some fixed nuts to the windshield and notch the top for the wipers.

adding to LITP

"No flange to bolt to the windshield. " meaning...corrugated top doesn't bolt up the front as a later top does

Corrugated top doors are straight where they seal... later doors hit at the top as the sealing surface tapers, it can be adjusted at the door to compensate for that a tad... but... still hits ... basically same issue as FST with hard doors

if your using the earlier doors with the top it works

there is a wicked blind spot on the early tops... hence you find many tops hacked with corner windows or extra bottom window on the bi-fold door... this can be migrated a bit by using convex mirrors

i had the tops from a 64 door i was going to put on my 74' doors... but... no longer have them ... never tried it

OK, I'm going to tell the seller that I pass but if anyone else is in need....this seems like a solid deal, enjoy!

thats alot for what your getting.... and its an earlier high post corrugated top... somebody grafted in (not the cleanest) a section to be used on a non high post truck

finding a good fiberglass is hard

most likely they are planning on a bestop to replace it... little do they know it will not seal well on top of the door :meh:

That bi-fold upper gate, while charming, is a finger-eating MoFo that leaks like a sieve.

Ha, I was thinking the same thing but did get clipped by my door the other night while loading my goalie bag. I have the internal shock mod sitting in my garage (for a year) but since I didn't bleed, It will stay in the box for a few more months I'm sure (I'm an idiot!)

Not sure what mod your talking about but stock there was a hook on each to hold it up. Once up correctly it will stay just be sure not to touch or it will slam down. Funny never been pinched or hit by a bifold door. The interior handle on the hatch is another story. But even that one I have learned to avoid.

I was not speaking to the bi-fold upper door. I have a full swing out (1970) option that has a twist lock option. The mod I wrote about takes the the stock prop housing and replaces the springs with gas charged shocks.
