Anyone have a decent wiring loom layout for a early 2000 tundra? I have a wiring harness from our O2 tundra, with lots of plugs and I’m trying to figure out what they go to.

I’m putting the harness into my 45 project that has 2UZ motor using an 80 series frame/axles/ suspension.

Well here are the connections that I need help identifying...

This is the blue connection would be not far where the wiring harness comes off For steering column. Maybe brake pedal? EDIT: YES, BRAKE LIGHT PEDAL SWITCH

Some sort of switch, single screen with yellow stripe wire coming to it This wire is coming out of the main fuse box by drivers foot EDIT: EBRAKE SWITCH

Then right outside the driver side in the engine compartment there’s three wires king coming off the main harness. One of mine is capped so must’ve been an option but I did not have.EDIT VAPOR CANNISTER - BOTH

Then near where the switches for the airbag and the clock there’s an extra harness : CARGO LIGHT, SWITCHES, ETC

Well, I have 80 series electrical diagrams as part of the repair manuals but no Tundra manuals/diagrams. If anyone has one they can forward please let me know I can do some hunting for you.

Thanks @cody c appreciate all your help.

I think that I got all the above answered.

I started this build thread over on the hardcore corner, and i really miss the traffic and help found on the 80 section.... Was thinking about moving the thread, but since it is just an 80 frame and axles, that does not make sense. Looks like this Tundra forum has very little action too. Would like to put the thread on the 45 forum, but those guys like to heckle anyone that is not OEM sometimes, and I am far from OEM.

Having said all that, there really is not much info out there about 2uz swaps into 80's so I am having to do a lot of searching.... and thus I will stay on the hardcore section.

you can always check at tundras.com

it's no where near the level of the 80 forum but a bit more active and there are some good folks there

maybe try sequoia-forums or a tundra forum..... the main sequoia group happens more on facebook, sadly. there is a guy on the facebook Toyota sequoia off-road group swapping a 2uz into an 80
