1999 LEXUS LX470 Help needed!
My 1999 Lx470 has stopped working 😢

It’s been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned until the car refused to start. I had it for about 10 years and put over 200k miles on her.

But now, she’s been in the shop for over A YEAR!

The problem stems from the computer system and the security feature that IMMOBILIZES the fuel pump (paraphrasing an experienced mechanic)

Mechanic has switched out the ECU with several other computers and has not been able to fix the issue. He’s done every possible form of troubleshooting he can think of.

At this point my poor car is sitting in the shop all alone gathering dust because the ECU won’t send the signal needed to the fuel pump.

Everything else works fine. Keyring, key, the fuel pump itself. It’s just this IMMOBILIZER issue that is holding my LX hostage!

Somebody must have run into this issue. What’s the hack I need?!

Is there anyone out there on the World Wide Web who can help solve this issue?

Any ideas or assistance would be hugely appreciated by me and my perplexed mechanic. HELP!

If the small red security light does not go out with key in ignition, @medtro likely has your solution.
