Sorted through my parts box over the weekend, and came across this part. I know it came off my '78 FJ40. What is it, and what's it do? Thanks for the help!

EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation cooler and valve.
Bingo, pretty rusted too. I'd test the valve prior to re-installing.
