Any help finding a OEM original part# or reference of any kind

I'm pretty sure it never had a separate part number as it was integral to the engine wire harness.

No it was not a integral part of the main harness john ,

it had a approx. 6" pig tail wrapped in corrugated small diameter split loom ,

and a 1 pin locking NON sealed white connector too .250 series / 6.3mm

this was from 8/80 day 1 till..................?

i have 1 original specimen like this i yanked off a 85 USA 2F FJ60

the 22r and 22RE versions were indeed part of the harness like you outline above same goes for celica and supra

i recall as a young high school age parts counter evening shift fellow , it being sold as a stand alone part ?

like a special service part#

or the like ?

somebody will have one and know

its just a matter of time here on MUD

reason i need to know so badly is i have NO oem part # with my signature -R to assign it ?

my reproduction one 's that is .......

Don't have a number yet but here is what it looks like. Something like early 90s 4runners had it. You can make out the single terminal plug on the far left.

Wire, Engine, No.4 for the 8/90 through 8/92 4-Runner is Part Number 82124-89114 - from the diagram I looked at it's about in the right location on the engine.

Don't know if this is it (the one on the left), but it's from a 4-Runner with 22R-E:

these are my Reproduction ones i just got back from my rubber shop

i faithfully reproduced them except the nipple for the wire

there were serious molding cost considerations to take in account regarding that detail of that little darn thing !

i added the white flame proof wire loom jacket just like fuel cut solenoids have too

my last detail well might be a pet peeve , but in place of a stupid white run of the mil white locking connector housing

i opted for UV and Chemical resistant black to make it look both well thought out , modern update oem style

and give it a bit of KUSTOM flare too .........

i tried like H#LL to get the TOYOTA logo or word TOYODA cast into the exterior , but same way out there molding extras

not really worth passing along to the average MUD member in the end if you follow me ?

the oem sender button connector exposed out the top only was the logical solution

in my judgement .............
