On my trip home from Yellowstone this weekend my right hatch strut popped off. I put it back on but it popped off the next time I opened the hatch. It seems the strut has worn down the back door damper stay upper on the right side (passenger) It is no longer round but worn flat around the middle.
I can locate the part for a 2016 and newer (68945-60010) but can't find the part number for a 2009.
Anyone have access to see what that part number would be? I am pretty sure the first set of numbers are 68945
This would be on a power door. 2009 LX570

Thanks in advance.

It is on the 2nd parts diagram on the View More Images tab.

IMO it's safe to assume that if the ball portion is worn the socket is too, so I'd consider doing both. Plus, it appears on a 2009 it's not available separately, only with the whole strut assembly. I'm not sure whether the later model parts can be installed on your 09.

I'm attaching the breakdown of original numbers and build dates

Thank you sir. I wondered about that but it is very unclear in the images. The same part number is refered to the whole box I marked as well as just to the individule strut. I will probably do both side just in case but yes, the right side strut shows damage as well. Not sure if it is because they are aftermarket or just one slight defect in one strut to cause this.

I appreciate your quick response.
