Excellent writeup Malleus, thanks. Others thanks too for the comments, it's all very helpful. Ned

My passenger floor is damp similar to op's. I live in LA and I haven't driven in the rain since I last checked the carpet (dry).

The only thing that may have changed is I ran the the climate control full hot one button down from max high fan speed with windows down during a drive home tonight. I've done this before a few times as of late, but didn't think to check the carpet.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I’m new around here, by my 93 had the ac condenser plumbing dumping moisture onto the carpet. Look under the glove box and make sure that the short rubber line is actually routed out through the firewall. It may have been disconnected. If it’s not been raining I’d take a quick look down there.

Try to find where the water is dripping from. Sun roof drains first. I cleaned mine and things still got wet. I asked the sunroof permanently shut with seller. Things were better but still got wet. It would drip from the grab handles on the pillars. I sealed the windshield again with black sealer and it has been dry since then. I would count on revealing the windshield AND sunroof.
