So everything’s going great. Drove to work and back and then out for groceries. Drove 100% normal. No sounds or issues and then 10 seconds away from my home these lights just came on. Physically looked around/under truck/under hood. Can’t find anything.
Any ideas? What should I do?

Could be as simple as a loose gas cap. Get a code reader and pull the code.

I had this happen recently, it was bank one, sensor one O2 sensor.
I don't understand why that triggers vehicle stability warning lights...

I use a cheap elm327 from eBay with the torque app to pull codes, but a parts store should be able to pull them for you too.

It’s a great way to get you to get the check engine light diagnosed and fixed. There is rarely a direct relation between the CEL and the VSC/TRAC lights. Once you fix the CEL issue and clear the codes, the VSC lights should clear themselves up.

I had this same thing happen to me Monday morning here in Georgia on the first morning it was really cold. Pulled a P1445 code for the secondary air injection system. Luckily I think my valve is stuck closed so my '06 does not go into limp mode but the bypass I ordered is in the mail.

I’ll be going into today to get the codes pulled.

What did your codes mean and how did you fix it? Cost?

Search the code here, I'm sure it's been covered. I'd have to go find my code. I'm a bit of a hoarder and had a known good O2 sensor, it cost me 15min to replace it.

Every Toyota I have owned automatically shows VSC off and VSC track every time the CEL comes on. As long as the CEL isn't flashing, it shouldn't be anything major.

I've had that same code on rigs that have sat for extended periods. Cleared the code and drove more frequently and it didn't come back.

Has it rained recently? Water dripping down the A-pillar as a result of clogged sunroof drains or leaking sunroof can cause havok by way of warning lights on your dash.

Pull codes though at your local Advance or Autozone or dealer if needed.

Nope. No rain. Yeah I’ll be going at lunch to have the codes figured out.

This just sucks. I just placed a big order of parts and received everything yesterday. Was planning on servicing it this weekend in my garage but this just adds to everything. Hope it’s nothing serious.

Just an update.

Called around and seems like no shop where I live will run a test for me. The ones that are willing said they will charge $60-$100.

So I guess at that point I’m better off just buying a code reader. I’ll have to pick one up.

I had the same issue last week and the week before. We had a couple cold snaps and when I would start the 100 the morning or a little after driving around all the same lights came on. It was a P1126 code (magnetic clutch circuit malfunction). I looked around for other people with the same issue and even looked into buying a new throttle control motor. Finally I got ahold of Slee and talked with them about the issue. The man at slee quickly knew exactly what was wrong because he said they have it happen a lot with 2002's or older whenever there is a cold snap or heat wave. Something poorly engineered with the throttle body in the older models, hence the reason they changed the design after 2003. He recommended replacing the entire throttle body with all the sensors and motors. I haven't quite swallowed the $650 yet so I just cleared the code and have been fine with no limp mode happening. Hope that helps

It looks like partsource.ca will pull codes, have you tried them?

Code readers are a great tool to have. I have an ODB II and ABS reader from Harbor Freight that was around 130 dollars. It is nice because it will tell you the issue without making you Google the code. It will also give real time info such as engine RPMs.
