Has hell creek worked all the bugs out of there lifts, i read several post about bad shackle angles. Also what shims are yall running with a 4'' lift.

thanks

I never had the shackle angle problem myself......

4* on the front none on the rear

Call Tom and talk to him direct.........

I installed the 2.5" on my spring over and the lengths were bad on the rear. They kept banging on the rear hanger. I was very disapointed. I since went back to stock. Had a pair re arched to about 2" over stock and am very satisfied. The hell creek rears ended up being 1 3/4" to long.
Anyone want them I'll give a heck of a deal...pm me

Would love some pics of these lifts .. A few of us are doing a group import to South Africa, shortly

I am a little confused is this Hell creek the same as the Hell for stout suspension from cc.

Hell For Stout springs are manufactured for CCOT by McCoy Springs in Canada. (At least that used to be the case.) HFS springs are longer than any other non-custom FJ40 spring I've seen, and provide a near optimal shackle angle.

Hell Creek springs are made in New Albany, Mississippi, USA.

Totally different companies, and different spring designs.

CCOT has the "Babes"...............

Plus springs that go flat after a year............:frown:

C.C.O.T. does have a few sweet babes, but they also have a few that have some mileage on them. Just saying.

But Grant, I heard that chick delivers all the HFS springs and sticks around during installation? Who cares if they go flat?

i bought a hell creek 6" kit for the jeep wagoneer i had b4 i upgraded to a fj40 i was really happy with the kit came w/EVERYTHING and the price was several hundred dollars below other kits...
i was going to get their 4" kit for the FJ but got a killer deal on a used 3" from someone here in town

btw their stuff is on e-bay they start the bids off below the price on their regular site so you can save more $$ getting the same kit off e-bay (same guy not a 3rd party idk why he does it....)

I have the CCOT 4" lift kit under my BJ40 now more than 8months and i am thinking of removing some leafs because they still haven't settled yet:doh:.Anyway i had some old man emu,TJM,Dobinson,Ironman and Trailmaster lift kits on my BJ's and i still am happy with the CCOT's.(i liked the TJM best but$$)

I Just got through putting on a hell creek 4 in this weekend. The kit was complete everything I needed for the install. you will need longer brake lines and i would have some shims around. if you have longer shackles. mine are 2" over stock on the rear I will have to shim it.(Drive line vibration) front is stock haven't had an issue so far.

If you haven't already replaced your upper shackle bushings, bolts, tire rod ends, steering stablizer,do it with the lift.

shims will require a longer spring bolt.

I haven't gotton to really try it out yet but what little i have it I am pleased Its real flexy compared to stock and it rides good.

try to post some pics later

Thanks for the info, post up some pics.

A quick "Hell Creek" search will provide lots of reading material, most of which is very good. Very few had shackle angle issues initially. Suggestions of loosening the shackle bolts and a little flexing have had great results.

I have had my 4" lift installed for a few years now with zero issues. My 1.5" extended shackles required 4* shims up front. It flexes great.

No affiliation to Hell Creek. Just a satisfied customer. Tom is easy to work with. He has even provided a lift kit of the winners choice for the Southern Cruiser Crawl Raffle for the past few years.

Last but not least: Made in the USA with a Lifetime warranty!
